While at Titchfield Haven last week, my dad spotted this beautiful Common Lizard sitting next to one of the wildlife viewing points and we both spent several minutes taking shots of it, posing nicely in the morning sunlight. This one was very close to an ant nest at the time, but didn't seem bothered by them. This was about 6 inches long, about the same size as most of the Lizards we saw on the first visit :-)

This Uta stansburiana, or Side-blotched Lizard, is a new species for me. I came across it along the Dry Canyon Trail in Redmond, Oregon on April 11, 2008.

Look at the colours and the smile he has :) wanted to put him in my pocket and take home

He's small, he's French, he's a Lizard!

Heres the Australian lizard, more commonly known as the Bluetougue lizard. Seen commonly in suburbia, this one was found in my garden, and then decided to go wandering around the outside of our house and into the next door neighbours house...

Sunbathing sand lizards in our garden.

One last lizard, this one hanging out right outside the lower station of the tramway.

Taken at Ocean Hammock Park, 9/1/18 11:45 am. I tried to photograph many anoles/lizards during my walk to the beach, but this one caught my eye as it was the only black lizard I saw. It was perched on the tree bark, and the only way to photograph it was through the leaves or from directly below it. I attempted both methods in hopes of taking the best image, and this was it. The leaves frame the lizard while keeping it the focus of the image.

Colourful lizard at Epupa Falls in northern Namibia (Angolan Border)

I've posted a sequence of pictures of small lizards seen on a recent family holiday to Asturias in northern Spain. Living in the UK I don't get a greta deal of practice identifying lizards, however with the help of Arnold & Ovenden's field guide I think they are all pictures of Common Wall Lizards, but I would welcome informed comment on this identification.

Does any one know what species this is?

A very small lizard found on the East Trail of Lost Maples State Natural Area. He was about 3 inches long including the tail. He was also very fast!
