It is not quite as cold tonight so the kitten just curled up by the kids, not on them. I don’t know how long the kitten can survive as I found her catching some sun today right in the middle of the lean-tos floor about 12 inches from the hind foot of the donkey, and she is not much bigger than the donkeys foot.

When I went out to check on the goats last night, before I went to bed, this is how I found the Hens Kitten.

Tonight I went out to check on the goats a bit earlier and couldn’t see the Hens Kitten anywhere but she finally rose up so I could see her and I had time to only get one picture of her face and one of the top of her head as she was going back down to sleep.

These aren't my kittens. They are my neighbors. This is the mother's second litter and my neighbor said she doesn't care how much it costs she will get her spayed after this litter.
So the mother is Zoey, and she is adorable, but she is a HORRIBLE mother. She lays on top of them and they squeal but she won't get up off of them. And she leaves them all the time. She only cares about them if we go in there with them.
But here comes the sad part and it may or may not leave you in tears. Sp yesterday at 8:30 a.m. She began giving birth to her kittens and at about 12 my neighbor came to get me because she thought one was dead. I went over and it was. )= I couldn't reach it though because she gave birth to them in a closet and she was in the way. So I went home and came back later when she wasn't in the room. Turns out it was dead. It was an adorable little grey tabby. Perfectly devoloped so we don't know why it died. At this time there was only three kittens (not counting the one that had died). She ended up giving birth to a fifth one. She left it with out licking it dry which makes me wonder, Did she not clean the airways for the other one and it suffucate? I need to quit thinking about it, but it makes me mad that this kitten might have died because the mother is stupid.
Sabastian's mother, Tiger, didn't leave her kittens for two days after giving birth to them and her owners (which also own Zoey) couldn't find her. She stayed with them all the time and was probably the best mother I have seen.
Anyway, the one beside the orange one is the new one. I haven't checked them for genders yet. They buried the deceased one.
