Fresh pretty flowers for you, my sweet!
What a delightful frame-able Jazz Age find!
This gorgeous 5.25" x 8" botanical plate from 1922 is printed in brilliant glowing colors, using the state of the art 'four color lithograph printing process.' It's done on a heavy satin finished paper and it's blank on the reverse.
And I'm serious when I tell you this; the colors in this antique botanical lithograph are just incredibly beautiful; Rich, Vibrant and Dazzlingly Lifelike and every bit as smooth and flat as the day this stunner was printed nearly 90 years ago.
This image is from Francis Allyn Olmsted's 1841 book, Incidents of a Whaling Voyage. It is generally believed that in traditional times, Hawaiians of all ages and both sexes surfed whenever wave conditions permitted. Legends and chants also describe surfing exploits as romantic, as when a man and a woman rode the same wave together. (Courtesy Hawai‘i State Archives.)

This is the side of my face and my hair. Its sort of hard to tell but I put notes on it to point out stuff. My hair is covering most of my face.
I dunno people didn't get this one when I showed it to to them a year or two ago when I did these.

This lithograph of Lichfield Cathedral's Western doorway was engraved by Robert S. Groom and based on an original drawing by I. Shaw. The lithograph was published by T.G. Lomax of Lichfield and printed by C. Moody in the mid-19th Century.
The scene depicts the ornate Western doorway of Lichfield Cathedral, set within a porch. This porch is lined with statues of the Virgin Mary, Mary of Clopas and St Peter, beneath a statue of Christ.
The open left door reveals a glimpse of the archwayed interior of the Cathedral.
15" x 30". I made this at Cardiff Print Workshop. Strip lighting and no windows - the colours were more acidic than I'd thought. I first saw this print in daylight when I was taking it to St David's Hall for an exhibition. Too late to print more, plates 1 & 2 had been destroyed!
The 3rd, purple, layer is mostly chalkwork, probably a No.5/Copal Tropical. There's some streaking along the lower edge of the print, from water droplets on the plate. It all fitted with the wash at the top of the print, so I left it.
