Playas (Guayas), 17 de marzo 2017.- Hoy, el Presidente de la República, Rafael Correa, verificó la construcción de la Unidad Educativa del Milenio Polibio Jaramillo del cantón Playas. Este establecimiento educativo recibirá a 2.280 alumnos en dos jornadas. La obra registra un avance del 43.5 por ciento y estará lista en junio de este año. Este centro, de tipología mayor, brindará una oferta educativa completa, desde inicial hasta el bachillerato. Se levantan con una inversión de 4.3 millones de dólares. La unidad acogerá a estudiantes de cinco establecimientos educativos. "Este tipo de obras hacía ya falta aquí en el cantón Playas para de esa manera dar la educación que se necesita en estos tiempos", dijo Giselly Cruz, habitantes de Playas.
