Das Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz ist ein Museum der Avantgarde in Linz. Als Nachfolgeinstitution der Neuen Galerie der Stadt Linz zählt es zu den wichtigsten Museen moderner und zeitgenössischer Kunst in Österreich.

Die MS Sissi ist ein charmantes Ausflugs- und Charterschiff, das seit Juli 2017 die Donauschifffahrt in Linz bereichert. Mit ihrem gemütlichen Ambiente eignet sie sich hervorragend als Partyschiff für private Feiern oder als Eventschiff für betriebliche Anlässe wie Weihnachtsfeiern.
Das Schiff bietet auf dem Oberdeck Platz für 54 Passagiere, während das überdachte Unterdeck 40 Gästen Raum bietet. Die geschmackvolle Einrichtung in Rot- und Goldtönen erinnert an den Stil eines Wiener Salons, was die MS Sissi besonders für intime Feiern, wie Hochzeiten, attraktiv macht.
Üblicherweise liegt die MS Sissi an der Oberen Donaulände 1 in Linz, unmittelbar stromaufwärts der Nibelungenbrücke. Neben Charterfahrten werden auch Mini-Kreuzfahrten auf der Linzer Donau angeboten, die den Gästen ein unvergessliches Erlebnis auf dem Wasser ermöglichen.
Die Donau prägt das Stadtbild von Linz maßgeblich und bietet zahlreiche Möglichkeiten zur Freizeitgestaltung. Ein zentrales Erholungsgebiet ist die Donaulände, auch bekannt als Donaupark oder einfach "Lände". Dieser öffentliche Park erstreckt sich im Stadtzentrum zwischen der Nibelungenbrücke und der VOEST-Brücke am südlichen Ufer der Donau. Die Donaulände dient als Erholungspark und auch als Schauplatz für Kulturveranstaltungen, wie der Linzer Klangwolke und dem Linzfest. Darüber hinaus gilt die Donaulände im Sommer als beliebter Treffpunkt der Linzer Jugendkultur.
Entlang der Donaulände befinden sich bedeutende kulturelle Einrichtungen wie das 2003 eröffnete Kunstmuseum Lentos und das seit 1973 bestehende Brucknerhaus. Diese Gebäude tragen wesentlich zur charakteristischen Silhouette des Linzer Stadtzentrums bei.
Die Donau in Linz ist nicht nur ein landschaftlicher Höhepunkt, sondern auch ein kulturelles Zentrum, das Einwohnern und Besuchern vielfältige Möglichkeiten zur Erholung und zum kulturellen Austausch bietet.

The MS Sissi is a charming excursion and charter ship that has enriched Danube shipping in Linz since July 2017. With its cozy ambiance, it is ideally suited as a party ship for private celebrations or as an event ship for corporate occasions such as Christmas parties.
The ship accommodates 54 passengers on the upper deck, while the covered lower deck provides space for 40 guests. The tasteful interior in red and gold tones evokes the style of a Viennese salon, making the MS Sissi particularly attractive for intimate celebrations like weddings.
Typically, the MS Sissi is moored at Obere Donaulände 1 in Linz, just upstream of the Nibelungen Bridge. In addition to charter trips, mini-cruises on the Linz Danube are also offered, providing guests with an unforgettable experience on the water.
The Danube significantly shapes the cityscape of Linz and offers numerous leisure opportunities. A central recreational area is the Donaulände, also known as the Donaupark or simply "Lände." This public park stretches in the city center between the Nibelungen Bridge and the VOEST Bridge on the southern bank of the Danube. The Donaulände serves as a recreational park and also as a venue for cultural events, such as the Linzer Klangwolke and the Linzfest. Additionally, the Donaulände is a popular meeting point for Linz's youth culture during the summer.
Along the Donaulände are significant cultural institutions such as the Lentos Art Museum, opened in 2003, and the Brucknerhaus, established in 1973. These buildings contribute significantly to the characteristic silhouette of Linz's city center.

Het vroegere eindstation van de Linzer Lokalbahn lag een paar straten verwijderd van Linz Hauptbahnhof op een binnenterrein tussen huizenblokken en hun achtertuinen. Deze nogal merkwaardige locatie was bij de aanleg van de Lokalbahn in 1911 bedoeld als provisorische oplossing, maar zij bleef bestaan tot 2005; sindsdien eindigt de Lokalbahn in het hoofdstation. Op deze locatie staat nu hoogbouw.
Exploitant Stern & Hafferl grossierde in tweedehandsjes. De Westwaggon-treinstellen uit de vroege jaren '50, overgenomen van een Keulse voorstadslijn, waren in 1970 een prima aankoop; ze zijn op deze lijn vanaf 2001 opgevolgd door (nieuwe) Stadler-GTW's. De Ganz-locomotief rechts dateert van 1915 en is in 1935 overgenomen van een munitiefabriek in Wiener Neustadt

The former terminus of Linzer Lokalbahn was situated a few streets away from Linz Hauptbahnhof on a courtyard surrounded by blocks of houses and their back gardens. This rather odd spot was meant as a provisional situation when the line was built in 1911, but it lasted to 2005. In that year the Lokalbahn finally was rerouted to Linz main station. On this site is now a high-rise building.
Operator Stern & Hafferl acquired lots of second-hand stock over the years. The Westwaggon train sets from the early 1950s came from a suburban line in Cologne in 1970 and gave good service until they were replaced by new Stadler GTW stock as of 2001. The Ganz-built loco dates from 1915 and was bought 1935 from an ammunition factory in Wiener Neustadt
