A veces, esperamos que las cosas sucedan cuando nosotros queremos; pero resulta que el universo/cosmos/alienigenas/whatever tiene un orden "estimado" para las cosas... la idea es vivir cada momento como viene y disfrutarlo; para poder decir en un futuro "sehh... yo pase por eso y fue X".
Este fin de semana recibà un regalo de cumpleaños atrasado... de Richzendy; quien soportó conmigo un cumpleaños lleno de altibajos en el que en algunos momentos me comporte como una "·&$. Resulta que el muchacho me tenÃa un regalo preparado que no se le dio en el momento idóneo; pero que llegó en el momento adecuado.
Esta franela fue su regalo de cumpleaños... y hoy me tomé una foto totalmente normal... asà vengo al trabajo todos los dÃas; un jean y una franela cómoda que aguante el frÃo infernal de mi oficina; mi llavero (CortesÃa de Rodrigo Padula en mi viaje a .br) y listo :D

Sometimes, we expect things to happen when we want them to; but the universe/cosmos/aliens/whatever has an "its own" order for those things... the idea is to live each moment as it comes and enjoy it; so then you'll be able to say in the future "yeah....Idid that and was X".
This weekend I received a delayed birthday gift....from Richzendy; who stood with me through a birthday full of ups and downs where I behave like a !-$%. This gift didn't come to me at my ideal time, but arrived at the right tim.
This t-shirt was his birthday present to me, and today I took a pic completely unaltered. This is how I come to the office everyday, jeans and a comfortable shirt that keeps off the chill, my keyholder (A gift from Rodrigo Padula on my trip to Brazil) and that's it :D

I loaded an Ubuntu Live CD onto my brother's iMac for his kids. Here are said kids playing Sudoku -- a few minutes earlier they were listening to the Jonas Brothers or some shit on iTunes.
I'd call this a pretty big win for Linux...

This is my current Linux desktop as of Sep '09.
The conky is a 3 part, that uses 4 different scripts to achieve the the full system, weather, and download status. I am running conky 1.7.1.1, and it uses conkyForcast, conkyDeluge, and conkyRhythmbox, all writen by the same person, for the obvious Now playing, weather, and torrent status. The email status is gmail.py script. That is really all I use for scripts, everything else is built right into conky. The wallpaper is self made from an svg i found online somewhere, though I dont remember where. The GTK them that can be seen the other desktop that looks like this one is also made by me, as is the Emerald theme.

We had a "fair" promoting various groups and activities at UNC Charlotte. Linux Users Group got started in the library (picture taken outside the library). Johnny Hopkins is handing out ubuntu software. You can learn more about the group at www.uncclug.org/wiki/index.php/Wiki_Home.

Linux Ubuntu 8.10. Using the HP Netbook styled theme and also Some Emerald elements to change it up a little. Conky configured off a script I found on Lifehacker.com
installed Suse 11 on the tiny tiny MSI Wind U100. Ironically, SuSe is one of the distros it may or may not ship with sometime.
Anyhow, it works except you need to hack the x.org conf file to manually set up 1024x600 mode, and you will need to compile the Wifi driver yourself.
MSI seem to be doing good things with the code, except making it easy to find. At the moment it won't support WPA2.
