Finally got around to upgrading my home desktop OS to Fedora 34. So far it's all good news. Wayland graphics seem much faster and 4k support works well. Big SMB speed improvements. Printer detection and setup was the fastest ever. I never liked pulseaudio, so I'm happy to see it replaced with Pipewire. Overall it makes my old 8th gen Intel NUC8i7BEH feel fast and new again.

How many of these do you see today. It's tuxie from the Corel Linux distro from around 2000.

Photos taken at Linux.conf.au 2012, Ballarat.

This is my current Linux desktop as of Sep '09.

The conky is a 3 part, that uses 4 different scripts to achieve the the full system, weather, and download status. I am running conky 1.7.1.1, and it uses conkyForcast, conkyDeluge, and conkyRhythmbox, all writen by the same person, for the obvious Now playing, weather, and torrent status. The email status is gmail.py script. That is really all I use for scripts, everything else is built right into conky. The wallpaper is self made from an svg i found online somewhere, though I dont remember where. The GTK them that can be seen the other desktop that looks like this one is also made by me, as is the Emerald theme.
