A large Victorian church on the northeast edge of Malvern, St Matthias's was rebuilt to the designs of G.G.Scott only to be further enlarged in the 1880s by F.W.Hunt who added the splendid tower in 1899. There is Kempe glass in the chancel, Mayer of Munich in the south aisle and some especially good Burlison & Grylls at the west end (sadly obscured by the parish room below).
Not normally open (the only one of the 3 suburban churches in this benefice that isn't), I got lucky with my timing as a meeting was shortly to start, and the verger kindly let me wander freely.

(See link). Watts Bar Lake. Watts Bar Dam, located midway between Knoxville and Chattanooga, is one of nine TVA dams on the Tennessee River. A scenic overlook near the dam gives visitors a panoramic view of the lake and the surrounding countryside. The Watts Bar Dam is 112 feet high and stretches 2,960 feet across the Tennessee River.
Watts Bar Lake is one of the south's largest lakes,covering 39,000 acres at full pool with 771 miles of shoreline. 738 of those shoreline miles are located in Roane County. Watts Bar Lake lies between the Watts Bar Dam and Ft. Loudon Dam, with the maximum depth being approximately 70 feet near the dams. Watts Bar Lake is a reservoir on the Tennessee River created by Watts Bar Dam as part of the Tennessee Valley Authority system.

Putting the finishing touches to the Tragalgar Gate Link Road, eight mural panels on a maritime theme were completed. I have chosen long shots with a little background to emphasise their setting in the port/dockyard area of Portsmouth.
'HMS Queen Elizabeth 2016' (left) and 'HMS Princess Royal 1911' R. Waterfield 2011 (HMS Princess Royal). The image of HMS Queen Elizabeth is unsigned. I wonder if we will ever see her or if the ineptitude of successive governments will see her sold to Switzerland before delivery?
