The lights shining through the rusty railings created these wonderful linear lines across the walkway leading to the forest with the towers framing the view.. The bridge connect one of the many park areas to the main Ferry Meadows recreational park in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. Of course some glorious trees welcome you at the other end.

Tamarix parviflora is a species of tamarisk known by the common name smallflower tamarisk

 

It easily inhabits moist habitat, especially in saline soils. It is a shrub or tree growing up to about 5 meters tall. The branching twigs are covered in tiny linear leaves no more than 2 or 3 millimetres long. The inflorescence is a dense spike with flowers 1 to 4 centimeters long. Each tiny flower has four pink petals.

Little ole me on the drums......

Actually the Electra Building in downtown Vanvouver. Originally constructed in 1957 as the BC Electric Building. The building was then converted to residential units in the mid 1990's. There are two distinct "fins" that have triangular panels that run from the top 21st floor to the ground floor. The triangular panels are illuminated at night in alternating pairs of blue and green colours.
