One day, I found a nature reserve behind the Aldi in Coalville at the bottom of the Swannington Incline, an abandoned branch of the Ivanhoe Line. There are numerous railway artifacts such as railway tracks abandoned in situ, railway sleepers scattered around the place, multiple embankments and even an arch bridge with an alarming lack of guardrails on top. Here we see one of the railway tracks abandoned in-situ looking south towards the Ivanhoe Line and Coalville, with trees sprouting out of random parts of the track.
Bolted to the floor, neatly lined up, a row of stools aboard the 1934 GWR Buffet car 9631.
Seen at Steam : The Museum of the GWR.
Otyń - railway station. Disused since 90s railway line from Nowa Sól to Wolsztyn.

More detail here but briefly: just north of Edgware off the main road near Brockley Hill you can find a field full of broken down and heavily graffiti-ed arches for a viaduct covering a stretch of the northern line that was never completed.
They're mostly covered in brambles at the moment!
