Three tiny juvenile snails, fattening themselves up for overwintering. The leaf is backlit by sunshine so the translucent eye stalks allow the light to glow through.
The image shows a line-up of three snails/six eye stalks for Macro Mondays theme 'In a Row'.
It was W.C. Fields who said "Never work with children or animals." Perhaps he was referring specifically to snails?
No snails were harmed in the making of this photograph.
If spiritual experience is first of all marked by a kind of illumination, love needs time to attain its perfection. The word “growth” (wassen, volwassen) appears on many occasions in Hadewijch’s writings. In them we can trace a gradual development, a real pedagogy of time. This spiritual growth is continuous and, using a very feminine metaphor, she says that, if it was interrupted, it would be like “stopping the labour of a woman in confinement” (L.XXI).
Poem XVI (MDXVI,ll.160-164): To see oneself devoured, engulfed In Love’s abyssal essence, Ceaselessly to founder in ardour or in coldness In the profound and lofty darkness of Love: This indeed surpasses the torments of Hell.

The “line_up“ is a paperwork series I developed since 2010. The “liners” are made out of paper (Din A3/A4),
oil paint and graphite. The theme is the hermetical laws of polarity and movement. There is no ending and no beginning in any direction, just an endless movement. You have the possibility to arrange the papers like you want and that makes it an endless playground for my photo-work and the eyes of the viewers.

Sembra incredibile, ma anche a Barcellona è possibile trovare scorci con poca gente... dalla lanterna della statua di Colombo si può cogliere qualche particolare astratto come questo. Buon sabato
On our journey to Austria's highest mountain in the beginning of June that year, we passed this interesting place just before the pretty village of Heiligenblut. I was fascinated that the top of the church tower was in line with the summit of the mountain.

Having gathered their three units into one consist, the crew of this Illinois Terminal Belt loaded grain train at Heyworth, IL now pulls south to clear the siding switch for the Tate & Lyle grain elevator. They'll shove back to put the train all together before proceeding south to Clinton. Power is MRIX GP10s 8317 and 8344, and MP15AC 1477.
This line includes approximately 10.7 miles of Illinois Central's original Charter line, permanently severed just north of the train in Heyworth, and south of Clinton.
Thanks to WR and the Facebook universe for the heads up on this move.
