A strange thing is memory, and hope; one looks backward, and the other forward; one is of today, the other of tomorrow. Memory is history recorded in our brain, memory is a painter, it paints pictures of the past and of the day. Anna Mary Robertson Moses

My train arriving today, at 4.30pm (16.30 hrs).
Bomaderry Railway Station.
On the south coast of New South Wales.
The sign on the platform stated: 'Stand behind the yellow line', and, not being a regular train commuter, I thought this was rather funny. But apparently not - it was meant seriously!
This 4-car 'Endeavour' diesel train then travelled to Kiama via Jasper's Brush, Berry, Gerringong and Gerroa. It was super green, dairy farming countryside.
At Kiama you have to change trains and board the inter-city south coast train. But it was actually waiting there at Kiama!! So the whole train trip was quite smooth - thankfully so, because I do not normally catch 'country' trains.
Mind you, it did not get to Central (Sydney) until 7.30pm (19.30 hrs). However, it was an interesting experience after my three days at Huskisson, on Jervis Bay. Today was 'The White Sands Walk' from Vincentia to Hyams beach, via these amazing beaches with pure white sand. I now have to process all my photos of Jervis Bay!!

I spotted this odd arrangement of hedge and trees cycling down a lane I'd never been down before and thought it would work well against a sunset. Indeed it did, and the fact that I could move to the right and left meant I could align everything up nicely. Shame the trees aren't similar in size but you can't have everything. I'm puzzled by its existence in the middle of a field. All I can think is the farmer wanted to make a bigger field but didn't want to fell the trees and left the hedge inbetween because he/she couldn't plough between? Northorpe, Lincolnshire.

ow do you plant asparagus? Farmers plant asparagus crowns, a stem attached to a long string of roots, which are planted about 15 to 20 cm (6 to 8 inches) under the ground. The asparagus is left to grow for a year and harvested the following year. During the first harvest, farmers have a two week harvest period.

A southbound Union Pacific coal train is passing the siding at Walker on the joint BN-CNW Orin line to the Powder River Basin in east central Wyoming.
The Orin is often considered the busiest coal tonnage line in the United States, running more than 100 miles of track with sections of triple and even quadruple track to handle the heavy traffic.
Please let me know if I have any of this wrong. There was little information on the slide mount.
