There are some limitations being hidden in a blind and using the 500mm w a 1.4tx especially when your subject passes by you, and you just can't back up or adjust your lens, but the clarity one can get is just so awesome!!

Thanks for viewing commenting on and faving this image!! Have a wonderful day-stay safe and healthy!!💕😊

Gazing at this stream that runs through an Ozarks forest, we thought: no way will we be able to capture the beauty of the moment -- not just the autumn colours, but the soft music of the water, nearby bird calls, fragrant aromas of warm afternoon. . . as much as we wanted to capture the full sensory experience. . . this photo is just a small window onto an amazing, ever-changing and little visited mid-America scene.

"...The soul teaches the body

Never to accept

Any limitation..."

- quote by Sri Chinmoy

www.youtube.com/watch?v=pq6lsZoWcFE

The peculiar virtue of photography, at the same time, in the hands of a purely mechanical operator, its severest limitation, is its power of revealing all textures and revealing all details. The art of photography is to be sought precisely at this point: it lies in using this technical perfection in such a way that every element shall hold its place and every detail contribute to the expression of the theme. Just as in other arts there is no room here for the non-essential. Inasmuch as the lens does not in the same way as the pencil lend itself to the elimination of elements, the problem is so to render every element that it becomes essential; and, inasmuch as in the last analysis there are no distinctions in Nature of significant and insignificant, the pursuit of this ideal is theoretically justified. A search for and approach to this end distinguishes the work of Alfred Stieglitz. It must not be supposed that the adoption of a particular equipment (such as lenses of critical focus or particular color screens) can by itself achieve the desired result; here, as elsewhere, it is the man behind the tool, and not the tool, that counts.

Cornelius Coot is the founder of the city of Duckburg, and a historical hero to the residents of Duckburg.

The Cornelius Coot statue first appeared in the Donald Duck comic Statuesque Spendthrifts (1952) by Carl Barks. Here, Scrooge and the rich Maharajah of Howduyustan compete at building the largest statue of Duckburg's founder, eventually leading to Duckburg being filled with gigantic statues of its founder. Barks re-used Coot's statue in Statues of Limitations (1957) and The Day Duckburg Got Dyed (1957). Afterwards, Coot's statues became a recurring location in the stories, and can be spotted in many comics taking place in Duckburg.

In a later story by Don Rosa, Cornelius was said to be the grandfather of Grandma Duck, which would make him Donald Duck's great-great-grandfather. However, Coot was not related to Donald in Barks' original stories.

Oh, one more thing:

Amelia, thank you so much for your nice testimonial!

Amelia appears on flickr not too long ago and I already see she has the potential of being a great photographer! She doesn't have a DSLR camera yet but that's okay. I think working under limitations usually force you to be more creative!!

Keep up the good work Amelia! You're a good friend to be with on flickr!! :)

Unconstrained with overall size limitations, I liked this PoV and processed in B&W. The original shot used just two focus points shot at f/8 with the Nikon 55mm. Here I used seven points to carry the depth a bit further back on the first bottle, picking up a bit of the "Grolsch" on the top.

My great grandpa made this little seagull. I have no idea how or why but it has managed to make it from him, to my grandma, and then to me. It is precious. I have it sitting next to me on my desk where I enjoy looking at it regularly. :) It not only reminds me on my him, but of my dad, who in a recent post I mentioned the book Jonathan Livingston Seagull. The one book my dad told me I had to read in life if I read no other. :)

Pink Roses de Santa Gemita - 110821

Hello there! TGIF my friends! Happy Friday! I hope all is well. I am here with a Bedroom Suite I decorated for the Gallant Magazine Spring 2019 Issue! The issue is for Spring so I based this room off of the season. Mint green came to me as my color of inspiration. I had no limitations as far as what I could use to decorate with so I really enjoyed just setting up a space that I felt represented Spring and my love of the season. Mint green, White and Gold were the main colors I went with for that Blooming Spring feel. For me Spring is when everything gets back to growing and you can smell fresh cut grass and blooming flowers in the gardens and that is the mood I was going for. I want to thank Divos and Gallant magazine for having me as a featured blogger! It was a true honor! This edition of the Gallant magazine is the 2nd anniversary and it's filled with many beautiful things and talented people, creators, bloggers and stylists. I have full credits for the post in the magazine. I will put a link below and Feel free to look at the magazine and my blog! Thank you so much for the support everyone! I wish all of you a blessed weekend ahead. xoxo <3333 Ebony

Btw: I am on pgs 252-253! :)

I’ve just read a comment from a photographer who said it’s time to stop shooting in black and white. He claimed we don’t see the world in black and white and it was something only done in the past due to the limitations at the time and it’s time to move on. Here’s a number of reasons why I think it’s critical to shoot black and white from time to time, and how it can help nurture your photographic eye.

Ansel Adams, Cartier Bresson, David Bailey, Karsh, Sebastio Salgado, Albert Watson, Peter Lindbergh, Herb Ritts, Irving Penn, Daidō Moriyama, Sally Mann, Avedon – the list of master photographers, alive or dead, who saw black and white not simply as a technical limitation but as a creative choice, could be an entire article in itself. But why did they choose it?

Here are some key reasons:

1. Color No Longer Distracts

2. You’ll See Light Differently

3. It Helps Emphasize Emotion

4. The Timeless / Classic Quality From Black And White

5. It Amplifies How You Use Negative Space

6. It Highlights Shape, Form and Pattern In The Image

7. To Highlight Beauty and Skin Tones

8. It Helps Focus On Composition

So What About Color?

The argument of not shooting black and white because it’s a thing of the past is a little odd to me, especially given that color photography is not necessarily a modern invention. Kodachrome for 35mm cameras has been around since the 1930s. The far more interesting (and possibly meaningful question) may be:“Why is black and white still so prevalent today, given we've been able to shoot color for so long?”.

I still shoot color and love playing with it, but I certainly enjoy the challenge and creative push from shooting in black and white.

Just found the limitation of my waterproofs.

As always, your comments and faves are much appreciated.

While taking pictures throughout this project I also tried to embrace my own limitations. Since I was facing the difficult intensity of my mental health struggles I didn’t have the energy, strength or clear thinking to take pictures with my digital or film cameras. So I kept in mind that I generally had my phone nearby, it was very lightweight compared to my cameras and was very simple to use with this app—basically just point and shoot. There was no film development, scanning or post processing involved with my simple phone photography process. So I was able to keep things very basic and focus on the act of seeing, capturing and coping.
