Wishing you a 2016 that glows and sparkles!

Just this side of the lake was covered with lime and duckweed, meanwhile the other parts of the lake remains clean. Stoever's Dam Park, Lebanon, PA ( A little busy now, I’ll catch with you tonight.) 😉

Here's a first for me, never seen one before. Quite a treat.

Garnetts wood an ancient coppice woodland owned and managed by Essex County Council. A knight was given the wood in the 12th century and in his memory there is an imposing wooden statue carved from a tree stump. Small-leaved lime, once widespread across lowland England but now restricted to just a few woods, is the dominant tree.

Lime point lighthouse under the north tower of the Golden Gate bridge is a fascinating spot and made a great subject this morning as I was waiting for the sun to come up. This rusty looking structure is quite off limits to the public but I have seen people over there from time to time.

Lime Point Lighthouse has been in place since 1883, half a century before the GGB was built.

Number 1 Lime Street, or commonly known as The Lioyds Building, in the heart of The City of London's insurance district.

"The Inside Out Building", as some call this grade 1 listed fine piece of architecture, was the first modern structure to be constructed within this part of the city, completed in 1986, and was certainly something we'd not seen the like of before in London, although not alone any longer, as this area still undergoes massive regeneration, and the latest addition stands opposite…The Leadenhall Building, completed in 2014.

Little trip into London with the camera today. Break from the normal Graffiti / Street Art route I usually take and focussed on some architecture. One of my favourite pieces of modern architecture features in this image, Number 1 Lime Street, The Lloyds Building.

55/365 … a trip up to London to see thewaroftheworldsimmersive.com/?--&gclid=CjwKCAiAvOeQ... with young Flo … and a chance to walk down old work haunts on the way … just such impressive architecture … and the show is bally fantastic … cracking evening … :-) xx

We came across this old abandoned lime kiln which had lots of character. This was another one of those spots where when you are inside, you feel like you went back 100 years into the past

Road & Rail Services has assembled a train for the Mississippi Lime plant, and it is seen here departing the interchange yard for the trip across town and more switching at the plant. The three leased units on the point wear a thick coating of limestone dust.

"The line_up is a paperwork series I developed since 2010. The“liners” are made out of paper (Din A3),

oil paint and graphite, the theme is the hermetical laws of polarity and movement. There is no ending and no beginning in any direction, just an endless movement. You have the possibility to arrange the papers like you want and that makes it an endless playground for my photo-work and the eyes of the viewers."

OK.. so it's "Something completely different Tuesday"... So this is the something different, and the completely part is that it's not even Tuesday... Well... Not here anyway... ;))

Try some Lime Time Big on Black

I decided after seeing so many phenomenal water drop shots to try a few myself, and for something with a slight twist "of lime" went with milk in to water instead.... et voilà... :)

Long exposure photo looking north to Lime Kiln Lighthouse, with the Gulf Islands in the background. Lime Kiln is located on the west side of San Juan Island, with views of the Olympics to the south, Vancouver Island to the west, and the Gulf Islands and the Strait of Georgia to the north.

Bit of a weird shot maybe? Was just trying something different with this moth caterpillar

The Ancient Romans marked the edge of their empire in Germany by erecting a boundary wall to signify where the frontier begins. Remains of the Limes Wall can still be seen today. We discovered this hiking trail while looking for the wall one cold November day.

Another 2 for 1. This month’s contest at the local LUG is to just build something green for St. Patrick’s Day. March is also Marchikoma, so a lime green Tachikoma seemed like the obvious combo.

Rapid decelleration would be another title.

I'll freely admit that to capture this again could take forever.

This is a single shot, 1/2000 of a second of my life!

Lock-down Sunday in the garden with a G&T (water) and a slice of lime.

I filled a memory card, ran a battery flat and eventually got the slice of lime to tell me everything it knew.....
