The Consumerization of IT in the Enterprise Conference + Expo brings together the buyers and sellers of consumerized IT solutions to drive adoption and deployment in the enterprise. CITE Conference gives IT and business executives, venture capitalists and a wide array of business technology decision-makers, a holistic view of how personal technology is changing and infusing the workplace -- with the ability to drive innovation and productivity to new heights. Embracing this trend is critical not only for attracting and empowering the next generation workforce but for retaining customers and creating business advantage.

Dec 11 346/366- Today when I went to log onto flickr.com at school the access was denied. They did this earlier this week and I got them to release it, but I guess they changed their minds. I went to the internet filtering software (Lightspeed Technologies) website and flickr.com is rated "G, suitable for all ages including education . . . " It was manually blocked by our district it seems. I inquired why but no one yet has answered.

It's not like we just websurf all day, I teach digital photography as part of my course. We use examples from Flickr to illustrate good (& bad ) techniques, we use the discussion forums to get technical information, and many of my students have their own DSLR's and Flickr accounts. I'm a little frustrated, can you tell?

Also today FGR invades the "Flash the Flickr Gang Sign" group, hence the hand showing the Flickr Gang Sign. Some students suggested a different hand gesture but I reminded them it was a "G" rated website :)

Okay, maybe not light speed, but about 30mph. Camera mounted on tripod in back seat, using a wireless trigger system.

Photo of the Day 42/365

The speed of light is about 300 000 kilometers per second, but in this case it was more like 80 kilometers per hour (50 mph). :-)

Yes, another Monorail Monday shot. I thought since today in So Cal we're going to have a rainy Monday that this shot would be the best to post. Why you ask? The one thing all us Disney photographers think when the rain comes is the sudden emergence of reflections everywhere! We try so hard to capture that rare moment before the pavement dries up and the crowds return. So instead of running out to DL today and getting drenched I'll just post this instead. (Although we all know if I was able to I'd be there in a heartbeat)

As for the shot, this is a 3 shot HDR run though Photomatix, CS5, and some Nik Software. Yes, I know it's not perfect... I messed up and should've done one more exposure for Small World but I was rushing and forgot to. Next time I'll be sure that I expose all the bright lights properly. But I won't let that stop me from posting it as I like it in every other way.

So happy Monorail Monday and have a great start to the week! As always comments and constructive criticism are welcome and appreciated! :)

Didn't place much emphasis on composition. Just having fun with light trails.

Mit 1079251200 km/h durch die Nacht...

The camera is mounted on my tripod at the backseat. To get all the front window into focus I used my Canon 10-22mm lens. For a first try of taking photos at night inside a driving car I´m really satisfied. :)

I had to place a watermark near center, as my last version of this scene was stolen by the following webpages, resp. their pathetic authors.

Illegal blog uses occur quite often, it is a nuisance but I can accept it as long as they have the courtesy and respect to link back to my photostream on flickr.

But cropping out my logo (amateurishly) and claiming it to be their own shot is just too low.
