I switched from using a triple swivel-mount reflective spotlight ceiling fixture to using this thing. Though I liked the spotlight thing a lot, the truth is that at 50 watts per bulb, it was way too energy-consuming. And I don't especially like bright places, so it's not like I needed 150W of lighting in my room.
Now, I use two 15-watt CFL bulbs. I would have taken 11-watt ones instead, since these are still too bright, but... I won't bore you with the details of that silly argument.
OK...Here's the thing. I live in north Texas. There is a huge flock of sea gulls in south Garland. They have blown up here from the beaches of Gulf of Mexico via many hurricanes. They have several area lakes they home in on, mostly Lake Ray Hubbard, in south Garland. But once you get into the Mesquite/Garland area, you may see them anywhere. I snapped s few really BAD shots while I was waiting for a friend to meet me for lunch. They were perched on the light fixtures out in the Mall parking lot.
I need a better zoom lens. I love all birds, but I love gulls and pigeons.

This image I cropped again and played with colorizing and added some cloud and light effects.
My daughter actually took this shot and I thought it was rather interesting composition and lighting.
The fourth light fixture has been mounted, and I am now in the process of wiring it up. I have run 12 gauge wire from the third light fixture into it, and also run some 12 gauge wire from the other end that will later be fed into the fifth light fixture.

*^I like light quite a bit. So much so I took this photo this morning.
Betsy picked up the art glass shade above at Goodwill over the weekend for $.50.
It looks great in the kitchen and it fit the IKEA light fixture perfectly.
I need to ask her if she was talking to the Secret for that to happen. Because I highly doubt the original company was thinking about Swedish designed Chinese manufactured suburban light fixtures.
I wanted the fairytale looking fixtures on the right but they were completely out of my price range. So I found the ones on the right as pretty good substitutes.
My first render with 3d graphics program, Blender. This is basically a 3d sketch for my next real world project. It allows for planning before committing real materials to the task as well as being kind of fun.
One of my many new light fixtures hovering overhead attracted by the tinfoil no doubt - or is the tinfoil in some way protecting the floor from brainwave type intercepting activity from the spacecraft - in any case my apartment has been invaded
The fifth light fixture is shown here, mounted to the ceiling. 12 gauge wiring has been routed as appropriate, with wire from the fourth light fixture feeding into it. Wire from the other end then will feed into the sixth light fixture.
