Actually I have lots of them.

ocular infraction / retinal burn

Another black glass photo, this time with a light bulb (not the one on top of my head)

Evidently, they bought different kinds with different color temperatures over time. This hotel (Istanbul Hilton, now it prolly has a qualifier since there's more than one) has been there since the '50s and perhaps less popular rooms still have incandescent bulbs?

Addendum: yes, indeed, it's called "Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus" now. It has a Wikipedia page, even, with this fun Cold War tidbit about how/why it was built:

John Wilson Houser, vice-president of Hilton International, wrote a letter to Conrad N. Hilton on June 23, 1951 about the Soviet Union's intention to build a 1,000-room hotel in Istanbul similar to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City, plans of which he had seen. Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus project thus became a factor in the Cold War US–Soviet rivalry.

The top design for ProjectRWB (just make it yellow, and blocky)

On our terrace there are some oldfashioned - some might call them retro/vintage - carriage lights and one of them holds a somewhat illegal lightbulb. 100 w uh my gosh! I always argue with my partner, he wants me to throw them away but I hold against it that they still work and I do not want to waste that. One day, when they no longer work, yep - I will exchange them for whatever will be modern and allowed then - but for now, well, just sue me.

The light bulb is about one hundred years old, taken from a similarly old house in the Glebe, in Ottawa, ON, Canada. No manipulative Photoshopping (other than cropping and exposure adjust). This is SOOC. Slow exposure; pause, then jiggle the camera.

Looking out our window I just couldn't resist taking a shot of the sunset.

Lightbulb Moment!

A bit of a tricky shot for me, I don't do technical very well and forgot to do a couple of things, but as its cold and shot outside for safety this will have to do. Quite happy overall with what I've achieved even if as usual there is room for improvement.

The Ramgrens had a chandelier over their dining room table which was glass rectangles and like 6 light bulbs. Tim said, "hey he actually made our ugly lamp look cool".

Actually a macro of the privet flowers before they open up...

They resemble lightbulbs :-)

What an amazingly stunning day! And busy day! Selling raffle tickets, swimming with the boys, bike riding and garden clearing. We are all going to sleep well tonight!!

At Alcatraz, spotted this lightbulb and the window with bars. This kind of reflected the mood, being alone and behind bars. JDX7214 c

This snowdrop lit up like a light bulb, maybe a sign that spring is coming early this year?
