Gmail shown using the Bettergmail firefox extension, with the mac-like look. This can be downloaded from lifehacker.com:

It is very easy to use. There is a choice of different skins and other utilities and a very useful is the label colour thing (see large picture size). However to get the label colour to work you need to name your labels e.g work #red. This may be annoying if you access your gmail from a number of different computers, but works great if you work from just one primary computer.

Once installed all options etc available from the tools menu--> bettergmail in firefox.

NB: This Bettergmail extension is suitable for those using the 'old version' of Gmail. Users of the new verson should use the similar bettergmail2

So far, this has created the most traffic to the website. To be fair, this isn't a real target audience but the numbers are still quite staggering (400 visitors in the space of several hours!)

I got scammed by LifeHacker:

I found 4 "F" cells inside, not 32 "AA".... blahhhh

What's in my bag on a daily basis. Took the picture for a Lifehacker thread.

Ha, that's kinda clever. I think. I'm not sure. (Background and angry Lifehacker response)

A friend gave me a pomegranate. I love them, but find de-seeding them a pain. Luckily Lifehacker posted this neat trick that had me enjoying a bowl full in minutes.

Lifehacker is the only SXSW party I've been to (I can remember) where I was below the median in facial hair.

#5/52 - 52 Weeks project

Inspired by an article on lifehacker.

Still just about looks like me.

Another book to dig into for 2009. Time for an upgrade? I'll let you know how it is.

Even more coverage of World Cup KickOff - this time on a small American website called Yahoo!

Here I am testing my brand new flash diffuser. As you can see, it is simply a cigarettes box. I don't remember where I read about this, probably on lifehacker.com or maybe on photojojo.com

Anyway, the results are quite good (when you are shooting directly a portrait; in the case of shooting at a mirror the results are strange); BUT you really must use the custom white balance settings, otherwise you will end with pictures containing a lot of orange.

I will play with this around and I will let you know how it works. I think it could be useful for portraits and also for macros.

Completed. One set of broken headphones + one set of warm ear muffs = no more freezing/boring bus stops. My friend showed me an article on how to make headphones out of earmuffs. Today I grew the courage to go through with the project. With the help of Youtube, I learned how to solder wires and after replacing the 3.5mm jack and some rewiring to the speakers, it has been completed! Let me know if you want one :)

Have a warm one!

Okay, here we go. This is the first image of very many. This is the first image of my 365-day Photo Project. Now, this should be fun.

This photo was taken in Anji's parents' back yard. :)
