As they run by the stands for the first time, Life Is Good is about a length in front of Flightline.

I’m sitting out and the birds are singing - who needs Netflix….

I had the most amazing opportunity to sit down with Nas, to shoot a portrait. Crazy thing is I literally had ONE shot. Nas was in a huge rush due to schedule conflicts, but stood for one quick studio shot for me. He apologized and said i hope you got something there. His new album "life is good" will be in stores soon

Pretty happy with it.

While riding in the back of a taxi in St. Johns, we saw the back side of the roof light and enjoyed the statement - Life is good. www.lifeisgood.com

Looking toward Pt. Lobos. Total camera shake and grain, but I love the colors here. It almost makes me want to make a fool of myself with watercolors. But I think I'll stick with the camera.

Cut my Life into pieces this is my last resort.:3 #lifeisgood#loveportraits.

Kirby gets home on Sunday, and the sun shone on me all day. I am happy.

life is good.

When someone smiles and they really mean it they smile with their eyes.

It's been an amazing summer so far...

I've met so many people who have opened up to me and given me the opportunity to photograph them.

It's changed the way I look at people.

I'm having such a good time with the camera.

The connections are amazing.

35mm 1.8 SOOC 'cept for a smidge of contrast

Playing with my Lensbaby a little bit. This thing is HARD!

I have tea every afternoon, sometimes several cups, depending on the state of my day and the temperature in my office (it can be freezing!). I finally decided a while back that if I'm going to drink all that tea, I should probably try to make some of it be better for me. This is my favorite tea mug at home.

Day 19- May 11

New shirt for Christopher with flowers I planted today. Life is good.

...loving life or should I say the duck poo he found to roll in :-)

I love to cook so much. Making food for my family is such a wonderful thing. Feeding them and hearing that they love the flavor of what I have prepared is such a beautiful feeling all around. My daughter shows a huge interest in cooking and I encourage her no matter how big the mess - it makes me so happy to see her (hopefully) following in my footsteps and cooking on a daily basis someday. For me!

This is the guitar belonging to Barley's owner. I have one more shot of the guitar left to upload.

Good news! I have replaced my D300. I also upgraded some of my lenses. I got the Nikkor 50mm 1.4 and I'm on my way to pick up a Tokina 11-16 2.8. Also replaced my Crumpler bag and memory card. My replacement remote, camera strap and tripod parts are on the way. And, for fun, I picked up a used Vivitar 135mm macro lens. It's manual focus, but it was cheap and I think it will be fun to play with.

While I can't exactly say that life is good, it is starting to look up.

Ahhhh ... sitting in the sun enjoying a cookie and chai latte. Life is good.

Inspired by Mogsterr's photo.

I kinda put my own spin on it...haha

but the identical idea is in the comments below.

Thanks Justin!

This week is going pretty well, I have an exam on Thursday and some work to go right now.

Thanks for all the views and comments! :)

Flickr is such an amazing place.

Dedicated to the memory of those students, staff and faculty killed today at Virginia Tech. As a university professor, it brings me only sadness to think that in one of the places where we should feel so safe and open to diverse ideas, that some very disturbed person thinks that killing others is a solution for problems. I hope that university communities can take positive actions to make staff, students and faculty feel a sense of safety and acceptance.
