"And it's this, the little mundane things, things you really skip over, that make a difference."

Like this hair clip that turned out to be a magnificent cable holder. Now I used them in different colors with all my cables. : )

On/Off - Thank you very much for your visit and for taking the time to comment! Much appreciated!

A mini story goes here.

I was listening to Cafe de Anatolia for the last hour as i went about doing stuff #mood. News made its way to me, and i felt nostalgic and grateful to have had a chance to visit Ayasofya before. So, naturally, i am drawn to the pics and start cropping and tweaking one to share here. Because of the news i can't help but think that the world is changing in more than one way, and then, that it always is.

i decide to look up some quotes about change and land on a page which lists 11 Alan Watts quotes, and one particularly stands out to me.

I didn't want to make a statement which could sound political so i decide against it, and just write - "Change is the only constant" in the title. No description.

As I am updating the tags, in the music that i am listening to, a voice says - "Man suffers only because he takes seriously what the gods made for fun".

I am stunned for a moment. THIS was the quote which i really liked and wanted to add to the description. So here i go, sharing the story, and the quote.

Love. Peace.

the music, for your interests

One of the crappier aspects of human friends is that, generally speaking, they remember all of the times you’ve wronged them and will hold it against you for the rest of their lives. Dogs, on the other hand, have the “gift” of poor memory. That means you can mess with their tail, play keep away with their food, and tug on their ears to your heart’s content, even if it annoys them. You get to have your fun, and your dog will forget all about it and treat you like their best bud within a couple minutes! It’s truly one of the only win-win scenarios in life.

While your pooch will forget you pulling on their tail, they won’t forget the connection they share with you, and, if you are good to them, you will leave a lasting impact on them that they’ll never shake off.

Based on the tone of your voice and your body language, your dog will do its darnedest to emulate your current state of mind. When you’re sad, they’ll look at you with big doe eyes. When your angry, the fur will rise on their backs and they’ll start barking and growling at inanimate objects. Whereas humans might not respond to your emotional upswings and downswings in a way that you’d prefer, dogs will always be there whether you’re thrilled, depressed, or anywhere in between.

Intelligence varies depending on the kind of breed you get, but overall, dogs are some of the most intuitive animals around. This is demonstrated by their multiple facial expressions (I especially like the one where they tilt their head and look at you quizzically), their ability to deviously hide toys in the strangest of places, and more.

Clear pocket with 5"x3" size. I found it at Loft, Shinjyuku, Tokyo. Same size with indexcard. Made by the Correct. 30 pockets per a package.

I bought it just for fun.

Well... what should I use this for, anyway... :D

Attempt to include receipts in the Indexcarding system.

I had kept receipts in another box. The clear pocket provide 5x3 uniform format. It enables to include receipts in the Indexcarding system.

Use single pocket for a week.

Indexcard for my work had been kept classification by projects. I found the classification process prevent me to write indexcard for my work.

I had kept classification of indexcards for my work. On the other hand, I have been keeping chronological sequence for my life indexcard.

I switch to chronological sequence for work as well. I don't know what will be happen. Anyway, let's do experiment.

"Someday,

everything will make perfect sense.

So for now,

laugh at the confusion,

smile through the tears,

and keep reminding yourself

that everything happens for a reason."

Hack [hæk] (englisch für technischer Kniff ) hat mehrere Bedeutungen und kann für eine Funktionserweiterung oder Problemlösung stehen oder dafür, dass das Ziel auf eine ungewöhnliche Weise erreicht wird;

oft im Kontext einer Zweckentfremdung

-

if you're killing time

make sure it's worth killing

lately i've been very busy at work, typically arriving home at 8pm, this leaves me with "technically" 4 hours to do whatever i can in this tiny time frame. i have a large backlog of photos and blog entries that need finishing, a stack of christmas cards i still haven't got round to making and sending out (i will send them mind so look out!), a lot of emails to reply to and simply not enough time to do it all.

some action is required, so i've decided to get back to productive me and start compiling todo lists with manageable deadlines for me to complete the task. the main ones include:

1. finish christmas cards and send out tomorrow

2. finish november photos and blog entries on sunday

3. email outstanding emails by friday

4. clean up my room

5. continue drafting up ideas for 365

the main time waster i'm suffering right now is the likes of facebook. though the time spent there is pretty minimal, it still hogs a bit of time so that needs to go. so in this photo i've stuck a nice label on top of my monitor to remind me to stay on task. the boats are really there for show, i learnt to fold them when doing my photo set / short story "lost coastlines".

One of the things I was excited about, going to Paris with my wide angle, was to stand dead center under the Arc De Triomphe and point the camera up. Unfortunately, I did not remember they charge for access. I also did not remember that they don't check for tickets at the bottom of the stairs leading to the grounds!
