This weekend found me back to Keeble & Shuchat Photography in Palo Alto, CA. This visit was packed full of photos and learning as we held the summer session of the Nikon BootCamp... 18 photo events in 3 1/2 days.

Saturday night took us up to the Lick Observatory on Mt. Hamilton. We were lucky enough to have everything fall perfectly in place.

New Moon... check!

As always, the night sky images require a bit of help in post. Below is what I was getting straight from the camera.

Manu, Peru - Red & Green Macaws at a clay lick. Eating the clay helps rid them of toxins. Macaws, parrots and parakeets come to the clay licks in separate flocks, each flock taking a turn.

There is no place like home.

I fell in love with the LICK store when I went to Las Vegas. He colorful sign outside the simply filled me with joy.

They sell some interesting candies, like the ones pictured, the Succulent Hard Willies. Individually wrapped for your protection.

on lensbaby…doing his snuggle in the blanket thing this morning. Normally he is licking the couch - it’s a new addiction. I googled this problem and learned it could be a symptom of OCD. Really?
