I went out very early this morning (3;00) to catch the coming storm that didn't produce much lightning. This is the only strike I caught with the glow of sunrise illuminating the storm. Out of 100 photos taken in a time lapse, this is the only one with a bit of camera shake from the wind. Will have more that are sharper.

The owner of this all-original 1922 Liberty invited me to take photos in a nice autumn setting on October 16, 2012. He selected a very fitting location and we spent an enjoyable afternoon posing the car in various settings around an old farm west of Dexter in southeast Michigan.
The owner wanted some photos of the car sitting neglected in the weeds, and a little scouting brought forth this location down the farm lane behind the barns. A little unloading and reloading effort from the trailer fulfilled the promise that this location offered.

Alle Welt sehnt sich nach Freiheit, und doch ist jedes Geschöpf in seine Ketten verliebt; das ist der Urwiderspruch, der unentwirrbare Knoten unserer Natur.

Everyone seeks for liberty, but nontheless every person loves his human chains. that´s the oldest human contradiction.
"Liberty consists in the freedom to do everything which injures no one else." (Matthias Claudius)

Liberty was populated by people who deserted when news of the gold strikes in the Yukon reached the town. Liberty became a ghost town almost overnight. Some who were not successful in Alaska returned for a brief time but they too eventually left for good. To escape the summer heat of the nearby low lands of eastern Washington, a few people take refuge in the old cabins during the summer. Liberty is so high and so cool, it makes for a great retreat to escape the heat. Submitted by Henry Chenoweth.
Liberty Bridge is the third and shortest bridge of Budapest. It was built for the Millennium World Exhibition in 1896, and its original name was the Francis Joseph Bridge. It is a three-span girder bridge with a Gerber truss built in Art Nouveau style. It is 333.6 meters in length, 20.1 meters in width.
