Kuldīga town in Latvija at River Venta, Latvia

Venta Rapid (Latvian: Ventas rumba) is a waterfall on the Venta River in Kuldīga, western Latvia. It is the widest waterfall in Europe at 249 metres (817 ft) across, and becomes as wide as 275 metres (902 ft) during spring floods. The height of the falls varies from 1.80 to 2.20 metres (5 ft 11 in to 7 ft 3 in) depending on the level of water in the river.
The Great Lakes water levels are at an all time high this year. This is the East Point lighthouse near the village of Killarney on Georgian Bay taken last month. The winds were whipping up gusts of about 80 km at times. When the water levels are high, the crashing waves can cause real damage on shore. There is another lighthouse on Georgian Bay in Lions Head. Last week the wind took off the one side of the lighthouse and left the inside exposed to the elements. Huge boulders around the lighthouse were displaced. Sadly, there is not much money spent on maintaining the lighthouses anymore.

Edmonton's Low Level Bridge in mist. This is one of my favourite images for a variety of reasons. First, it's damn moody. Second, it has a rugged industrial feel to it that matches the city. And third, it has a pleasing perspective. Oh and there's mist...too.

Suzhou is the most populous city in Jiangsu, and a major economic center and focal point of trade and commerce. Administratively, Suzhou is a prefecture-level city with a population of 6,715,559 in the city proper, and a total resident population of 12,748,262 as of the 2020 census in its administrative area.
The city's canals, stone bridges, pagodas, and meticulously designed gardens have contributed to its status as one of the top tourist attractions and liveable cities in China. The Classical Gardens of Suzhou were added to the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997 and 2000. Suzhou is often dubbed the "Venice of the East" or "Venice of China".

Sea Level (1996) is a land art work of art by the American artist Richard Serra (1938-2024) in the Wetering landscape park in Zeewolde. The artwork consists of two walls of 200 meters long, the height of which corresponds to sea level. The sculpture, made of pigmented concrete, is Serra's largest work in Europe.
