Durante uno dei suoi soggiorni , Paolo III Farnese nel settembre del 1539 approvò i primi 5 capitoli della Compagnia dia Gesù che gli vennero letti da S.Ignazio di Loyola .

Harrimanella hypnoides - L'erica muschiosa cresce tipicamente su letti di neve e zone umide, di solito nelle parti più alte dell'Islanda.

Dei tre racconti di questa raccolta, mi era sconosciuto solo "Mumù", in quanto gli altri due li avevo già letti - sebbene non nella traduzione di Landolfi - nelle "Memorie di un cacciatore". Mumù è un cane, e il suo padrone è un sordomuto, un "mutolo": nonostante la forza sovrumana di Gerasim, e la fierezza di Mumù, sono due deboli, esposti alle cattiverie, alle meschinità, alla stupidità, alla prepotenza del destino, che prende le sembianze della ricca e viziata padrona di Gerasim. C'è ancora la servitù della gleba, Gerasim non è padrone di se stesso, non può decidere di avere un cane se il proprietario della sua "anima" non lo vuole, per capriccio. L'ingiustizia che viene raccontata in questo breve romanzo, ci può far capire secondo me perché di lì a non moltissimi anni, il popolo russo andrà incontro a una rivoluzione inevitabile, che però sarà distruttiva per lui. Nel momento decisivo di questo racconto, Turgenev sospende il tempo, tutto intorno a noi tace come tutto è sempre stato silenzio intorno a Gerasim.
Of the three stories in this collection, only "Mumù" was unknown to me, as I had already read the other two - although not in Landolfi's translation - in the "Memoirs of a Hunter". Mumù is a dog, and his owner is a deaf-mute, a "dumb": despite Gerasim's superhuman strength, and Mumù's pride, they are two weaklings, exposed to malice, pettiness, stupidity, the arrogance of fate, who takes the form of Gerasim's rich and spoiled mistress. There is still serfdom, Gerasim is not his own master, he cannot decide to have a dog if the owner of his "soul" does not want it, on a whim. The injustice that is told in this short novel, in my opinion, can make us understand why, in a few years' time, the Russian people will face an inevitable revolution, which however will be destructive for them. In the decisive moment of this story, Turgenev suspends time, everything around us is silent as everything has always been silent around Gerasim.

„Uno studio inglese ha messo a paragone le faccende casalinghe con i comuni esercizi praticati in palestra, così da rilevare che, per esempio, lavare i pavimenti per una trentina di minuti equivale a un quarto d'ora di tapis roulant“.
Di seguito, le calorie bruciate nell'eseguire le mansioni casalinghe più comuni.
- Pulire il bagno. Sfregare la vasca per un quarto d'ora permette di consumare 100 calorie, pari a una trentina di squat e serve a tonificare braccia e spalle.
- Stirare. Tre ore a settimana col ferro da stiro in mano garantiscono lo stesso dispendio energetico di una lezione di Zumba, ovvero, 420 calorie, e restare in piedi per così tanto tempo aiuta a tonificare i muscoli di gambe e braccia.
- Fare il bucato. Piegarsi per caricare e scaricare la lavatrice, appendere i vestiti sullo stendino e poi riporli una volta asciutti fa bruciare 78 calorie l'ora, le stesse di 100 addominali.
- Passare l'aspirapolvere fa bruciare 90 calorie in mezzora, l'equivalente di 15 minuti di kickboxing.

Housework burns the same calories as gym workouts
"An English study compared household chores with common exercises practiced in the gym, so as to find that, for example, washing the floors for thirty minutes is equivalent to a quarter of an hour on the treadmill."
Below, the calories burned performing the most common household tasks.
- Clean the bathroom. Scrubbing the tub for a quarter of an hour allows you to consume 100 calories, equal to about thirty squats and serves to tone your arms and shoulders.
- Press. Three hours a week with the iron in hand guarantee the same energy expenditure as a Zumba class, i.e., 420 calories, and standing for this long helps tone the muscles of the legs and arms.
- Do the laundry. Bending over to load and unload the washing machine, hanging your clothes on the drying rack and then putting them away once they're dry burns 78 calories an hour, the same as 100 sit-ups.

Les sous-mariniers vivaient dans des espaces confinés. nous visitons les cabines, à l’espace très restreint avec des lits superposés et les zones de vie partagées pour les repas par exemple.La visite du Redoutable ne se contente pas de présenter un outil au service de la dissuasion nucléaire, mais elle met en lumière le quotidien des sous-mariniers, rendant hommage à ces hommes qui ont vécu et travaillé dans cet espace confiné, mais fascinant.
🇬🇧 Life aboard the Redoutable was marked by specific living conditions that tested the endurance and cohesion of the crew. The submariners lived in confined spaces. We visit the cabins, which are very small with bunk beds and shared living areas for meals, for example. The tour of the Redoutable does not just present a tool for nuclear deterrence, but also highlights the daily life of the submariners, paying tribute to these men who lived and worked in this confined but fascinating space.

La carrozza Apm delle FFS subito dietro la locomotiva rimpiazza una carrozza letti della ÖBB che non ha potuto essere messa a disposizione per motivi tecnici, rappresentando molto bene una scena quotidiana su questi collegamenti.

Der Apm-Wagen der SBB unmittelbar hinter der Lokomotive ersetzt einen aus technischen Gründen nicht zur Verfügung gestellten Schlafwagen der ÖBB und repräsentiert sehr gut eine alltägliche Szene auf diesen Verbindungen.
