I bought this green 1A Pocket Kodak Junior for my daughter's birthday gift, but I couldn't resist a shot of the Art Deco lettering on the flip-out stand.
as aulas de caligrafia com a andréa tão avançando. agora estamos estudando a letra cursiva, com bico de pena. o curso passado foi de ponta quadrada, e estudamos o alfabeto romano, mas na verdade eu caà de amores pela itálica. no começo, a bico de pena tava sendo bem difÃcil. mas agora acho que tomei gosto pela coisa, e apesar desse segundo "o" ser uma das coisas mais feias desse mundo, tô começando a gostar da brincadeira.

It seems like the new trend is tire lettering. Personally, i wouldn't want to try to keep it clean!

Lettering realizzato per il festival SUPERFICIE (Rocca Malatestiana, Cesena) utilizzando una versione in legno del FREGIO MECANO, carattere componibile realizzato dalla Società NEBIOLO - Torino. Specimen dal campionario NEBIOLO e prove di composizione del lettering. Le lettere sono state composte in modo non ortodosso rispetto il manuale originale.
Barnett Freedman CBE RDI (19 May 1901 – 4 January 1958) was a British painter, commercial designer, book illustrator, typographer, and lithographer. He undertook a wide range of commissions and work that included a number of book jackets, or dust wrappers, especially for the London publishers of Faber & Faber as well as for other publishing houses. The designs included the main covers, the spine and lettering.
This cover was for Collins and is for Peter Quennell's biography of John Ruskin (1819 - 1900), the Victorian writer and philosopher whose works are now often credited with having anticipated interest in a wide range of subjects such as the environment, arts and crafts. Sir Peter Courtney Quennell CBE (1905 - 1993) was a prolific writer and biographer.
