This is a place I fell in love with. This beautiful island off the northwest coast of Greece in the Ionian Sea. I sometimes booked sea passage on freighters that plied the waters of the Mediterranean. I loved it every single time. Clean, comfortable cabins. Simple square meals taken with the ship's crew. Fantastic views of port cities. Once I caught a freighter from Trieste (in Italy near Venice) and spent four days on it. It stopped in several ports in Croatia, unloading and reloading cargo. Hours for me to explore the ports. What a treat it was. Corfu specially. I spent a full week on the island when friends who came to visit from Brindisi in Italy. Outrageously great food, music, culture, scenery, and people. Add this to your list. Just do it. :o).

Ancestors left Lorraine for Pennsylvania Colony in 1733. The lineage has been traced back to the early 1500's.

DAY HIKERS at Lakes Basin Recreation Area:
The more people you have hiking in your group, the more delays there will be. Add an additional 5-10 minutes per person, when you plan to leave. Forgot something, bathroom breaks, food, water bottle, water filters, backpack and jacket, who's carpooling to the trailhead with who.
How many cars "are we taking" on this day hike?
Announce the hike route and departure the night before, around the campfire, so all participants are aware on the timing and plans. Cannot guarantee things will go smooth, but it helps to give advanced plans ahead of time.

By the way I am loving the new vehicle. I haven't flipped the back seats up to put a crate in there but I will - they fold up to the sides - pretty cool! The seats themselves are extra wide and very comfy. Cupholders are on the floor - the one downfall in the dogmobile reviews and I'll agree as Ghillie was trying to stand on my iced tea. Most of the time though he and Penny will ride in crates so it won't matter. There's no carpeting in here at all, just an easy, wipe down floor, which Ghillie has already left footprints on. We went to PetSmart, then to the soccer field to throw the wubba a bit and let him stretch those long legs, then to the drive through at McDonalds where he stared at the girl in the window until she opened it and gave him a biscuit! LOL (He knows you get biscuits at the drive through!)
Sorry I haven't been commenting much - work has been hectic - I've been bringing files home every night and weekends - 1 or 2 hours extra work every night and more on the weekend - yikes.
