Smile on Saturday: Let there be light
And God said, "Let there be light, and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light "day" and the darkness he called "night". And there was evening, and there was morning - the first day. Genesis 1:3-5

HSoS everyone!
This wooden tree was made by my father. It has graced my family's Swedish Christmas Eve table every year since 1962.

A "Happy Smile on Saturday" 😊
and an enchanting weekend for all of you.
Thank you for all your views, faves and comments.
I took a trip over to Bosham, West Sussex last night to capture the sunset but was greeted with a mass of dark black clouds!
While I was setting up the camera a couple of my Flickr pals Joe & Dave turned up and they decided to try and find a different spot due to the poor conditions but I decided to stay on to see what happened after the sun dropped below the clouds on the horizon.
About 15 minutes after sunset I managed to capture some colour in the blackness of the sky!
0.6 second exposure using a Lee 0.6 ND grad filter.
Thanks for any comments you may wish to leave.

26th June 2017:
After a stroll round the car park and not coming up with anything that said "YES" I came home and picked up the first thing I noticed, which happened to be this light bulb.
Took it into the garden and played around for awhile to get the photo I liked best.
I've cropped it a bit, but otherwise it's SOOC.

Spider webs exhibit polarizing light effects when viewed from an acute angle to the light illuminating them. Capturing this phenomenon requires some dexterity as being off by one or two degrees one will not be able to see it. I am shooting into the light in this instance. Natural fibers, like milkweed exhibit this phenomenon as well. I was shooting into the morning sun; the web was on my back porch.
✨ Happy New Year ! 🍸
