Three images but one bottle. Attached to the cork is an LED light that keeps changing colour. For the dark days I really like it as a table lamp.

I kept taking images as the light changed and selected these 3 colours for today's SoS!

I wish I could do the same image with changing lights, i.e. three videos. I could try but am not sure I have the necessary skills.

Hope you are having a good Saturday, keep smiling :)

The theme for "Smile on Saturday" for the 6th of January is "let there be light". Luckily for a me, I took a trip to the country with a friend of mine a few weeks before Christmas, and as we driving home again, the afternoon sun was gloriously golden, so we stopped along the way so that I could photograph the light as it shimmered golden across the wild grasses on the side of the road. Imagine my delight when I read the theme for this week after it was announced. I thought that this shot would be perfect for the theme. I hope you like my choice, and that it makes you smile!

smile on saturday #let there be light

This is one of my favorite creations using Mr. Doob's Hypnotoque effects in Ribbet's Sandbox. I no longer remember which of my photos I started with...;-)

Where there is shadow, there must be light.

I did one like this a couple of years ago, so was hoping to do better, well it was done again anyway LOL. This time WARP 10 Let there be light! I am giving all I can give captain!

Taken at Compton Verney’s Spectacle of Light last year, two photos layered together to give an impression of the changing colours.

HSoS 😊

It's a red spiral fluorescent light bulb bathed in light turned up all the way in a lightbox, and with the image processed in a high key style. You can see the patterned reflections of the lights at the top of the spirals.

This cropped lead pencil eraser is set atop a Venetian glass vase made into a lamp. I loved all the textures this cropped capture revealed.

About 2 inches wide and 3 inches tall. I tried to include a wee bit of the lampshade for effect.

The iPhone 7 Plus is small enough so that I could reach up inside the shade and view the eraser from above.

The longest time was spent cleaning the eraser... ( ; - )

For Smile on Saturday - let there be light

This was a big 3D spiderweb. It was impossible to keep in focus all of it, therefore I tried to be creative... 😅

I hope that you will like the result, dear friends. Have a nice Saturday! 🙋‍♂️😊

In the Indian mythology (North America) one story is about a raven who brings the light into the world.

For the group, "Smile on Saturday" and this week's theme, "Let There Be Light!"

Micro (macro) photographs of lit candles, showcasing the amazing art that's produced when a candle's wick burns and the candle's wax melts into incredible shapes.

It took me awhile to be able to expose properly for both the burning wick and the flame itself, and it's challenging to get a sharp focus as I shoot these handheld.

Click on the photo to view it large and better see the amazing details.
