Decided to eat dinner in the Aloha Stadium prior to the start of the Nevada vs. Hawaii game. No veggie sandwich this time. Was going for the steak plate (www.flickr.com/photos/100yearstolive/4953253739/), but $12!!! Settled for this kabob(?) plate @ $7. Pretty tasty, but only tickled the tummy. Held me longer than the veggie sandwich, though.

Some new artillery recruits are being taught by their more experienced comrades how to operate the field cannons.

First period, and I was sat just at the right angle from the window to get some really beautiful light and not have it blocked by anything but the window frame :)
My etching is of a portion of a still life we worked on yesterday- some flowers in a wine bottle.

"I remember the first time I saw you...you were standing right here. Like a kid with her nose pressed up against the glass."
"That's how I felt, for a long time." She looks past her, to the pool hall. "I'm not sure when I first saw you, but I remember you outside those doors... and all the noise and laughter...
"Was different then. They were all different.
"Do you miss it?"
"I don't miss any of them anymore. Maybe I outgrew them."
