Evelyn and Clara are in the same swim lesson class. They just can't get enough. Today Evelyn showed me how she swims with circling arms and nose down. And we bought some goggles to deal with the red eyes. Super fun!
This woman called me over, I went and she told me to have a go ploughing... it wasn't easy, you are bent over, the donkey knew he had a beginner behind, so he didn't keep a straight line, I really messed up her lines, but her husband watched on, took lots of photos of us with my camera and a very rare experience the women let me photograph her too!
The yellow shirt is the older one that the teacher made the logo some years ago.
This was boring (^^;) I think she seems don't want to design logo by herself anymore. lol

Spent the day at the Maryknoll Seminary in Ossining, NY. Had an appt in a.m., we had 60 degree weather so I took my sketch kit and pastel en plein air set up with me. What a gift to be outside in February AND away from the noise and dirt of the renovation. Can't really consider this one a public event as this property is as serene as can be with no visitors because it's winter. Had the place to myself. Was a special treat of a day and I'm so glad I now have sketches to remember it by.

I was optimistic about the whole thing and my friends couldn’t understand why. It’s because I had let go of the consequences, the fear of failure, and embraced the experience. The wedding day came, I danced. Yes, I made a lot of mistakes. It wasn’t perfect, but I did it.”

My friend, Nancy Barry (right), wrote a one-woman play which was performed by another friend, Kristen Underwood (left). Nancy is a college English professor who had breast cancer at age 45. The play was brilliant, the acting was brilliant - in short, it was a triumph!
