My Keeping a Sketchbook class started on Saturday. Everyone brought their own morning tea and we drew that in the classroom while I talked (a lot). Then we went across the road to a park where we drew this tree, concentrating on the patterns in the bark & not trying to draw the whole tree. Future weeks will be totally out and about.

One of the porters from our group - he taught me some Indonesian walking down on our last day - so I now know how to say "cow" (Sapi), "chilli"(Lombok), and "You and I go home together to a house", which I was apparently alone in thinking had an air of innuendo about it.
The lesson is a little bit repetitive but the main point would be "when you take a shit close the door".
