watching the sun as she slipped away
autumn had arrived with a shorter day
the bees had gone it was time to rest
all the birds were hiding in their nests
a carpet of colours surrounded their feet
only some spiders climbed up for a feast
of little insects hiding it's true
did they find any I wonder . . . ?
if you ask them they might tell you :-)

45/52: The weekly challenge - Something found in the kitchen
So many things in the kitchen to photograph and it still took me ages to think of what to do...another high key!

This week's challenge/task was to photograph something that requires your camera to be pointed vertically upward.
For me this ended up lying on my terrace under the garden table, where I found this mysterious symbols and code. I presume that even in Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code symbologist Robert and cryptologist Sophie would have been puzzled.

the original shot was bright red wall detail with a glaring hanging light fixture. reflection/wrap filter in corel got rid of the glaring bulb and desaturation got rid of the red. i added ivory tone. the pink version below was changed with an online pixlr filter and corel software color. hss!
"I see the world being slowly transformed into a wilderness; I hear the approaching thunder that, one day, will destroy us too. I feel the suffering of millions. And yet, when I look up at the sky, I somehow feel that everything will change for the better, that this cruelty too shall end, that peace and tranquility will return once more." -Anne Frank
So much bad news these days. And so much sacrifice by soldiers, first responders, and all sorts of helpers.
On Memorial Day, may we remember those who gave it all and yet not lose hope when we look up at the sky that things can change for the better.
Canon EOS 6D - f/5.6 - 1/13sec - 100 mm - ISO 200
in photoshop I did set contrast to the max to lose all details
