This tiny flower also known as Dayflower and in some places a weed, has become a welcome guest in my garden. Fortunately, needs little attention and provides a lovely early morning carpet of delicate blue flowers. The entire flower is less than 1/2". #MacroMondays, #LessThanAnInch

Para "Macro Mondays"

Theme: Less Than An Inch

From top band (top of photo) to tip of nib (point is obscured a bit at the very bottom of the drop) measures 3/4 of an inch. With a bit of space for the shadow measures just under an inch. Side to side measures the same as top band to nib, so 3/4 inch.

The yellow is a reflection from the shoebox used to prop up a camera to catch the action.

It's just started snowing here (8 hours ahead of schedule) so I rushed outside to take a picture for MM less than an inch. Had to be quick as I've got to rush off to work now and I've never tried to photograph snow before so sorry if it's not great but... IT'S SNOWING!!! I'm off now to see if I can get all the way across London before the transport system shuts down. HMM everyone!

MM Theme: Less than an inch

A very small crab encased in clear plastic. Focus stacked for increased DOF. HMM!

This is a macro of a miniature phaelenopsis orchid, taken for Macro Mondays theme “Less Than An Inch". These blooms are quite small, and the width of this image covers about 0.7 inch (the petals shown here are 5/8" - .625"). It was shot with my EOS 7Dii, Canon 100mm F/2.8 macro, and a 25mm extension tube.

Macro Mondays Theme - Less than an inch. These are about 8mm long and its covered in fine sand :) also knows as a Beach Flea :) Scientific Name - (Talitrus saltator)

This is one of the smallest coins/tokens in my collection, measuring just 5/8" (16mm) I was pleased with the reflection from the mirror base. HMM!

The shell is 1.5 cm at its longest point and the square is 2.54 cm. I also measured out a 2.54 cm square to make sure I was within the limit for this week's theme.

I found some sandy gravel in the garden and put the shell on that to give it some background. The rest was natural lighting.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)

Made for Macro Mondays theme: “Less Than An Inch"

My entry for today's Macro Monday theme of "Less Than An Inch".

This is an extreme close-up of the fabric of my laptop case, the area in the photo is just over 1cm, and was taken with my crop-sensor 7D Mk II, 100mm Macro lens and all three extension tubes, then cropped a little.
