Everyday I see him dancing in front of me, he's my marker of the season, of nature's cyclex, with his wounds and his strength. Hope I will see you with your cute white leaves soon. Thanks for being here in front of me.
In this photograph, I wanted to explore the power of minimalism and the impact of selective focus. Through the deliberate omission of further details, I wanted the portrait to invite viewers to engage actively with the image and to fill the gaps with their own interpretations and emotions.

Sticking with the weekly theme of high key. My husband put this light bulb out to remind him to get some more, I purloined it for a photo. Sorry to be so predictable with my minimal high key but lots on this week so need to go for easy options.
I used flash for this one, I usually try to use natural light and a reflector but there was too much going on in the light bulb with reflections of the windows, the reflection of the reflector too just looked wrong.

tasteful, minimal, seasonal..

"we're in a giant car heading towards a brick wall and everyone's arguing over where they're going to sit" -- david suzuki
when i found this quote, i didn't look into suzuki and his views about climate change which are scientifically debatable. for me the quote has both geo-political and domestic political significance beyond climate.
