We took over 35 square feet out of our apartment to see if we could manage to live with less space. Now, we've got a small apartment, but imagine if everyone took a comparable area out of the homes, if they didn't need it. What could we do with all that space?

Former Pay Less Drug, at Willamette Plaza, Willamette and W 29th Ave, Eugene, OR. Opened in 1968, it was the second Pay Less in Eugene. The first was located downtown, on Broadway. In 2005-2006, Willamette Plaza underwent an extensive renovation/rebuild. A new Rite Aid was built to the left of the old Pay Less building, with the Pay Less subsequently demolished to build a new Market of Choice, previously housed in the former Mayfair Market space.

Just barely visible are the pendant-hung 4-lamp fluorescent fixtures used in 1960s Pay Less Drug Stores Northwest.
