Today we (Thomson Interns) went to a Minnesota Saints baseball game. The saints are less than minor league. It was fun.
This is Shahnoza, by Julian Opie (you might know him from the Blur CD cover). This series of stylized pole dancers was the artist’s response to the “weightlessness” of Henry Moore’s sculptures.
Yes, I know, it's not much of a pun. In fact it is probably meaningless to anyone who doesn't know any names of parts of boats. Even more meaningless to someone who also doesn't know that, In Newfoundland, those board-thingys that stretch across an open boat - the things that people sit on - are called "Tawts". No doubt, people have heard of "thwarts". Or, perhaps not. Anyway, whatever name you know them by, these boats don't have any of them!

I'll just come clean right away: I'm not that much of a minimalist. I love to surround my self with things, even those that doesn't mean the word to me - or those that don't have a place of their own in my life. Yet, I also love that both my life and my every day is as much simple as possible. But I wonder if I ever come as far as less becoming a good word for me.

Words To Live by album BPC festival 2011.
Actually I shouldn't upload this. I like the other very similar photo better and the expression isn't remarkable.
I uploaded it anyway because I just love the little guy. And because I'm so excited about my newest tool - the softbox. It let's me control my light like nothing I've tried before and it was on my wish list for a long time until Kenneth found a great used one for a great price. I can't thank him enough.
