Daneben waren der Nordic Walking Aktiv Treff, das Schaukochen und die Vorträge gut besuchte Programmpunkte.

I finally managed to end this task, it wasn't easy because I only had a few pictures and videos available in the web to guide me.
In spite of that, I think I achieved a good result, althoug I ended up with 8 parts less.

How unfortunate that politicians, some who previously ran the Board of Education, expressed their poor grammar skills, (Less does not equal Lest - this was verified as being intentional after speaking with the Mayor).
This was the second granite stone etched for the memorial, removing the thanks to the emergency services workers, to thank our troops defending our pride and freedom. I guess some have already forgotten about what happened on September 11, 2001.

...and so the volumetric expression on this end is much less than before.
I don't actually have a reading of all this, like, why this is happening - and for all I know it's more typically Gothic than I'm aware. But from a purely formal perspective it's an interesting play between flat and volumetric readings of the same thing, both at the scale of the church as a whole, and now at the human scale of these doors. Let's table all that now and just admire the church, as it's extremely beautiful.

The bluff on the northern edge of Kauai, around sunset. At the end of this fabulous trip, one of the best we've had, we were overcome by sorrow as we drove down the road to the airport. As the drive continued, logic and hope overtook the sorrow, and we were comforted by the thought of future trips. Now I wonder if future trips will ever happen. The islands are still locking out visitors from their own country (except for the very rich, who can comfortably self-isolate in their mansions for the mandated 14-day period.) Visitors from OTHER countries, deemed to be less risky, will be allowed soon. It's a desperate and futile attempt to eliminate health risk for their population.
I don't normally take pictures in restrooms (in fact I think this is the only one I've ever taken), but I've also never been in a restroom that had a view of 1st-2nd century street level, beside the Temple Mount no less.
A less simple desaturation.
Currently I'm reading a book by Vincent Versace, "From Oz To Kansas - Almost Every Black And White Conversion Technique Known To Man". The discussed workflows are mainly done in Photoshop, but with this experiment I wanted to see if there was anything in it that could also, more or less, be done in Aperture 3.
One of the biggest lessons I'm getting out of the book is not to be afraid to apply many local adjustments, for instance brushing in and out lots of different curves, if that's what's needed to reach the picture you have in mind. Generally I tend to be too shy on this. With this picture I've allowed myself to leave this behind for a moment and do whatever would get me to this end result.

While walking along the river at the local town of Woodbridge I came across a small group of boats that instead of being mored, just seemed to sit on the stoney shore. The one that really caught my attention though was bright old orange Leg-less. I thought she would make a nice foreground to the gloomy scene of the other moored boats.
