Half Moon Bay, California - a winter stormy day at the beach

'Eleven Less One' was created by the Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto.

The exhibition is located in kunsten in aalborg.

a little shed about to be taken on a trip to get fixed!

I had sort of written it off. It is very rotten at the bottom and will collapse at some stage. The top of it is perfect still.

It is less than 20 years old but I havent painted it with preservative and for some years I let a lot of vegetation grow up round it.

It was pointed out to me that it was actually possible/worthwhile to repair it & put a new base in it ....& that there is someone in our area that has the skill-set/facility to do this.

We (definitely me included) are not good enough at getting things repaired. I feel good about this shed getting repaired & I look forward to creosoting it when it comes back!

it is getting a second life and I am getting a second chance at looking after it a bit better!

Le Lido is a musical theatre venue located on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, France. It opened in 1946 at 78 Avenue des Champs-Élysées and moved to its current location in 1977. Until its purchase by Accor in 2021, it was known for its exotic cabaret and burlesque shows including dancers, singers, and other performers. Famous names have performed there including: Edith Piaf, Siegfried and Roy, Hervé Vilard, Sylvie Vartan, Ray Vasquez, Renee Victor, Johnny Hallyday, Maurice Chevalier, Marlene Dietrich, Eartha Kitt, Josephine Baker, Kessler Twins, Elton John, Laurel & Hardy, Dalida, Shirley MacLaine, Mitzi Gaynor, Juliet Prowse, and Noël Coward.

The hotel group Accor bought Le Lido in 2021 and dismissed most of the permanent employees, mainly artists and technicians, in order to replace the costly dinner shows and revues with less expensive musical theatre productions.

After reading an article about a LoMob update (an app I haven't used for ages) on the brilliant website LIfeinLofi, thought I'd pass this photo through it on the 1st setting, then finished off in Cameramatic, a bit of cropping and straighening in CropSuey and Voila!

I am creating a website at the moment which will include this tutorial and many other brilliant iphoneography artists' tutorials. Please make me a contact and send me an email note entitled: iphoneographywebsite if you would like to know when it is launched, wish to test the beta site and/or submit a tutorial.

//fifty-two weeks of design

This week's design is based off a prayer of mine: "Less of self, more of God."

I feel like it's so easy to be so caught up in what I want to do, what I think is best for my life. In the end, it doesn't even matter. Because after I part from this temporal world, self is gone. My name, or legacy, may be left behind, but I'll be gone from the face of this earth.

I figured I should invest in something that would last a little longer.

(Thank you, Leon, for this tremendous photograph, and thank you for licensing it under Creative Commons).

It's milder today, but still cool enough to need to wear one of my recently bought cardis.

I'm wearing another of my long faux leather skirts, but this one has a little less flare in it.

I am loving my panoramic photos lately. This was from one of the recent spectacular sunsets. I may revisit this property once I get ahold of the owner. Unfortunately I was stuck shooting from the road. I feel the road works well in this, despite leading your eye out of the photo.

Riding down on the chairlift from First to Grindelwald, I took this image of an Alpine chalet (or hut?) amidst a meadow covered in flowers with the Bachläger waterfall behind it.

The Bachläger waterfall in Grindelwald is part of the Milibach, which begins at the outlet of the Bachalpsee (2,265m above sea level) and flows in the valley into the Schwarze Lütschine (1,020m above sea level). Above the waterfall, the water flows through a moor landscape of national importance. The water falls as a waterfall in several rock steps from 1,950m above sea level.

The waterfall is particularly attractive in spring (above) and early summer. During this time the flow rate is around 500 l/s. In late summer and autumn, depending on the precipitation, significantly less water flows, which means that the waterfall is always given a new character. In winter, the partially-frozen waterfall forms bizarre and gorgeous ice formations.

This image is around 12 hours of exposure time on the surrounding large region of Integrated Flux Nebula found in the constellation of Ursa Major.

This IFN is incredibly faint requiring long exposures, dark skies and patience.

The two most prominent galaxies are Messier 81 and Messier 82, these are two very commonly photographed galaxies due to their easy nature to find in the sky and they're bright. However, it's much less common to capture the surrounding IFN as unfortunately most people don't have dark enough skies.

This was captured from my garden using a Canon 100mm macro lens (ironically!) and a dedicated ZWO 533MC deep sky camera. This was on my portable Skywatcher star adventurer mount, controlled by NINA and guiding with PHD2.

I'm afraid that Pancho will wake up to find this technique is less effective than the shopping cart. He'll come to realize that the walls seep with cold condensation, that's where all the damp cold under the tracks comes from. But I guess he's not really "spoiled for choice" when it comes to drying his clothes.

I hope that Hillbilly will do the neighborly thing when they wake up and show Pancho a more effective way of doing this. But honestly, I'm not sure if there IS a better way. After the last couple of days, the living quarters under the tracks are somewhere between swamp and rainforest.

"Don't forget the kissed Cat, the next time... Surely it would be the dog though..." Myself.

You're having some fun, I guess by peeping and trying to imitate... And I wonder, how would you feel, if it was the opposite...

I only can wonder....

I'm so sorry you're wasting so much time, by PEEPING, and that include all of YOU, that peep and obey instructions, and are being controlled by it.

Thanks for taking so much time to visit...

We're in Summer clock already in Israel, and it's going to be VERY HOT, this weekend.

I'm unable to identify this Asian pheasant with information on the zoo's website. She's in with more vibrantly colored friends. I think she has a beauty all her own.
