Sometimes the paths we choose to travel can be less acceptable to some people. This is usually because their view of beauty is different than ours... and that is perfectly alright, as we are all individuals. I have come to accept the fact that my opinions are not always going to agree with everyone else... again, that cool idea of being an individual. What troubles my heart is when people lash out at one another over a simple picture and their individual opinion behind that picture.
Thanks to my government and the US Marine Corps I have learned what it is like to take life... but that experience also taught me compassion and tolerance. I don't care if your gay or straight, pro life or pro choice... I can love the sinner and hate the sin, because I am one. (The sin I am referring to is judgement) My only redemption is that I have found the power of forgiveness... both in giving and receiving.
Please, let's step lightly on the tender lives of others, especially when we have no idea of the difficult paths that they have taken.
Just some musings from an old guy ;-)
The less photogenic passenger shuttle operation operated out of Thorndike. In reality it was better than the one out of unity, more parking, and is closer to the fair. GP9 1483 leads DIT GE70tonner 50 since the 1483 doesn't have Swedish style coupler adapters. Off to the right is two Swedish box cars.
'Eleven Less One' was created by the Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto.

After reading an article about a LoMob update (an app I haven't used for ages) on the brilliant website LIfeinLofi, thought I'd pass this photo through it on the 1st setting, then finished off in Cameramatic, a bit of cropping and straighening in CropSuey and Voila!
I am creating a website at the moment which will include this tutorial and many other brilliant iphoneography artists' tutorials. Please make me a contact and send me an email note entitled: iphoneographywebsite if you would like to know when it is launched,wish to test the beta site and/or submit a tutorial.
Another look at a Boreal Chickadee. I put a shot of a Black-capped Chickadee in the first comment box for a quick comparison. These shots were taken at the same location just a few feet apart. I hope to get the two in the same frame, but the Boreal is less common here and the two species seem to avoid each other.

Le Lido is a musical theatre venue located on the Champs-Élysées in Paris, France. It opened in 1946 at 78 Avenue des Champs-Élysées and moved to its current location in 1977. Until its purchase by Accor in 2021, it was known for its exotic cabaret and burlesque shows including dancers, singers, and other performers. Famous names have performed there including: Edith Piaf, Siegfried and Roy, Hervé Vilard, Sylvie Vartan, Ray Vasquez, Renee Victor, Johnny Hallyday, Maurice Chevalier, Marlene Dietrich, Eartha Kitt, Josephine Baker, Kessler Twins, Elton John, Laurel & Hardy, Dalida, Shirley MacLaine, Mitzi Gaynor, Juliet Prowse, and Noël Coward.
The hotel group Accor bought Le Lido in 2021 and dismissed most of the permanent employees, mainly artists and technicians, in order to replace the costly dinner shows and revues with less expensive musical theatre productions.

I am loving my panoramic photos lately. This was from one of the recent spectacular sunsets. I may revisit this property once I get ahold of the owner. Unfortunately I was stuck shooting from the road. I feel the road works well in this, despite leading your eye out of the photo.
It's milder today, but still cool enough to need to wear one of my recently bought cardis.
I'm wearing another of my long faux leather skirts, but this one has a little less flare in it.

//fifty-two weeks of design
This week's design is based off a prayer of mine: "Less of self, more of God."
I feel like it's so easy to be so caught up in what I want to do, what I think is best for my life. In the end, it doesn't even matter. Because after I part from this temporal world, self is gone. My name, or legacy, may be left behind, but I'll be gone from the face of this earth.
I figured I should invest in something that would last a little longer.
(Thank you, Leon, for this tremendous photograph, and thank you for licensing it under Creative Commons).
