Tang, the snow leopard at Stone Zoo in Stoneham, Massachusetts. She is an older cat and spends most of her time up on her rocks.
Never completed this pastel/coloured pencil drawing as something about it never seemed quite right but I couldn't figure out just what it was!
How cool is this leopard. He was on a mission to get somewhere. Just ignored the viewing vehicle and kept on walking. I'll call him Johnnie!
Like the Amur tigers this Amur leopard spent quite a while sleeping while I was at Marwell recently but it did wake up in the end, giving visitors the chance to get a good look at its beautiful face. A friend of mine told me there's only about 40 of these left in the wild :(

This is my and many peoples favorite animal. The eye contact is what makes this image work for me. This is a formidable predator and at close proximity sent a chill down my spine.
