The Sacramento zoo has a pair of snow leopards and they were quite active for us. Such beautiful animals; wonderful fur. And they're severely endangered, of course, at least partly because of their beautiful fur.
This was a very endangered leopard that had to be kept away from humans and was part of a rare breeding program. He was stunning and had the most intense stare.
I took so many shots on my Big Cat togging day that some I never even processed. Having a look at some shots which may be worth saving. This is a beautiful snow leopard.

Yala has one of the highest concentration of leopards per square kilometer and it is not uncommon to see around 3-5 Leopard on a 2 night - 3 day safari. Apart from Leopard, Sloth Bear, Asian Elephant, Jackal and several other mammal species can also be seen here.
