My LE Wedding Cinderella Doll has been fully deboxed. She is posed standing, supported by the included display stand. With her floor length multi-layered skirt she should be able to free stand, but I didn't haven't tried to stand her that way. She is photographed from all angles.
On my second attempt to get the Limited Edition Wedding Cinderella 17'' Doll from eBay, I finally got her! I got her with the help of a fellow collector. She is #450 of 500, and was originally sold by the Japan Disney Store. There is a Japanese sticker on the bottom of the box. She was shipped double boxed, and very well packed. She arrived in perfect condition.
She is very beautiful, and has a serene expression, rather than the grumpy pout of the LE Ballgown Cinderella doll. Her lips have a slight smile, which is part of why she has a more pleasant expression than the other doll, who shares the same face mold. She is glancing in the opposite direction of the Ballgown Cinderella, and her skin has a matte surface, rather than the shiny pearly surface of the Ballgown doll. Her pale yellow wedding gown has many differently sized and colored rhinestones enhancing the printed floral pattern. There are also several small jeweled plastic butterflies in the skirt, hidden amongst the flowers. The decorations continue throughout the back of the dress. There are also faux pearl buttons on her sleeves and on the back of her bodice. Her skirt is very full with a long train, and is in three differently colored layers. Under her skirts is a 3/4 length single layer tulle petticoat. Attached to her hair is an oversized pale yellow sheer chiffon veil. She has golden earrings and a jeweled golden tiara. Her wedding ring is a floral design with five golden beads; it is pinned to her hand. She has the old style legs, with fixed ankles. She is wearing simple ivory heels, with no decorations.
I will be posting a full set of detailed photos of this doll. She will be shown boxed, during deboxing, and fully deboxed, both by herself and with other Disney Store dolls.

These little neck knives are a great hunting companion! They can be worn around the neck..in or outside the shirt or detach the chain and wear it in your pocket! The handle is made of black/grey Micarta accented with nickel silver pins and thong hole. Randy used red fiber liners for added beauty and stability. The 154 CM flat blade is light to carry and easy to sharpen with notches along it's spine for better grip. The entire knife is stonewashed for an antique patina. The camo/reptilian pattern Kydex sheath includes a neck chain.

In the oval, a half-length young woman appears who, turning towards the spectator, with a charming gesture knots her long braid of hair, while hinting at the motif of a sweet melody. At least this is suggested by her open mouth, bowed head, half-closed eyes, her intense and enraptured expression.
Her elegant brown silk dress with splendid shiny reflections is in harmony with the bright red curtain in the background, which places the song in a theatrical and timeless dimension. In the foreground, her hands with tapered, mobile fingers are highlighted, caressed by a refined play of shadows, as well as her thick dark hair that is still a little disheveled. She is not an identifiable figure, perhaps the painter intended to represent vocal music, without resorting to symbolism, but with a spontaneous and natural language.
Bernardo Cavallino loved music and the theater and in the 1600s Naples was a highly spectacular city, a theater city, where every space, be it a clearing, a church, a palace, could become a scenography according to the various genres; even for the feast of 25 July 1685, on the occasion of the Queen Mother's name day, a maritime theater was set up. In the years in which Cavallino lived, Naples already had stable theatrical spaces, such as the public theater of San Giorgio dei Genovesi or that of San Bartolomeo, which the painter probably frequented.

Weta is the name applied to about 70 insect species endemic to New Zealand. There are many similar species around the world, though most are in the southern hemisphere. The name comes from the Māori word 'wētā' and is the same in the plural (like 'sheep').
Many weta are large by insect standards and some species are among the largest and heaviest in the world. Their physical appearance is like a katydid or long-horned grasshopper or a cricket, but the hind legs are enlarged and usually very spiny. Many are wingless. Because they can cope with variations in temperature, weta are found in a variety of environments including alpine, forests, grasslands, caves, shrub lands and urban gardens. They are nocturnal and all New Zealand species are flightless. Different species have different diets. Most weta are predators or omnivores preying on other invertebrates, but the tree and giant weta eat mostly lichens, leaves, flowers, seed-heads and fruit. These wingless orthopteran insects are well represented in New Zealand and are found in the forest and in caves. The commonest weta is found throughout the country in rotten logs, in old tree trunks, and under bark. It has a body length of about 5 cm and has much longer antennae. The male is characterised by its large black head. The general colouration of the insect is dark brown. It is capable of making a peculiar scraping sound by rubbing its hind legs against ridges on the side of its body. Although it appears to be a fearsome creature, it is harmless but can give a nip with its mandibles if incautiously handled. Apart from the Cave Weta most species are forest dwellers and a few are to be found in the high alpine screes living among the broken rock that are covered with snow up to six months of the year. New Zealand species are classified in several genera in Subfamily Macropathinae of family Rhaphidophoridae, and are very distant cousins of the other types of weta. Although the weta had native predators in the form of birds (especially the weka and kiwi), reptiles and bats before the arrival of humans, introduced species such as cats, hedgehogs, rats (including kiore) and mustelids have caused a sharp increase in the rate of predation. They are also vulnerable to habitat destruction caused by humans and modification of their habitat caused by introduced browsers. New Zealand’s Department of Conservation considers that 16 of the 70 species of weta are now at risk. Programmes to prevent extinctions have been implemented since the 1970s. Weta can bite with powerful mandibles. Tree weta bites are painful but not particularly common. Weta can inflict painful scratches, with the potential of infection, but their defence displays consist of looking large and spiky, and they will retreat if given a chance. Tree weta arc their hind legs into the air in warning to foes and then striking downwards so that the spines could scratch the eyes of a predator. Pegs or ridges at the base of the abdomen are struck by a patch of fine pegs at the base (inner surface) of the legs and this action makes a distinctive sound. These actions are also used in defence of a gallery by competing males. The female weta looks as if she has a stinger, but it is an ovipositor, which enables her to lay eggs inside rotting wood or soil.
New Zealand had no land mammals (apart from native bats) before humans arrived, and ecological niches occupied by mammals in other parts of the world were taken by non-mammals. It has been suggested that the weta’s place in the ecosystem is comparable to that held by mice and other rodents elsewhere in the world. For example, they are hunted by an owl, the morepork, New Zealand’s only surviving native owl. Weta pass seeds of some plant species through their digestive tracts unharmed, thus acting as seed dispersers. It is yet to be seen how decreases in weta populations are affecting native plant species that may rely on the weta's help.

Marloes Sands is a beautiful, isolated stretch of sand with rocky outcrops along its length.
It is rarely busy and out of season, if you make the effort to walk to the beach, you are likely to have it to yourself.
From the beach there are good views out to Skokholm and Gateholm Islands, the latter of which is at the NW end of the beach and can be reached on foot at low tide.
The remains of neolithic to medieval settlements can be found on the island.
Surfing here can be excellent, but the walk to the beach tends to deter most.
This means that it can be well worth the effort as the waves are consistent and never crowded.
Watch out for the rising tide though as it can cover the whole beach cutting you off.
Windsurfing here is possible (W-NW winds) but not really practical due to the difficult access.
To get to Marloes Sands, head to Marloes on the B4327 and just before the village turn off to Marloes Mere where you will find the car park and a signpost for the 1km walk to the beach.

The TX-526-2 motor incorporates an eleven-degree-canted nozzle in its design. Castor motors first flew in 1971 and are used today as strap-on boosters for the Atlas IIAS launch system.
At one location I know of, the pickerel frogs have green spots! This is unusual coloration for this species, which usually has only different shades of brown. This year's metamorphs were everywhere at this time. I don't know why, but I almost never come across adult pickerel frogs! They are almost always under 2 inches in length when I find them. Something interesting about pickerel frogs is that they are poisonous to other amphibians, and will kill them if kept in the same container!

Trier, Thebäerstraße, St. Paulin (St. Paulinus' Church).
The length of the towering nave and choir is 52 m and the slender bell tower, including the peak, has a height of 53 m.
The former collegiate church of St. Paulin in the north of the city of Trier, with its slightly more austere Baroque appearance, surprises with its light-flooded interior and the colorful and sumptuous décor of the late Baroque. The first church on this site was built in the 4th century by St. Felix, bishop of Trier, in the Roman burial ground. Features and functions
As well as being the architect of the building, Neumann contributed his Rococo architectural flair to several internal elements, including the stucco work, ornate altars, and ciborium. The sculptor Ferdinand Tietz carried out several of Neumann's plans, carving elements such as the statuary and choir stalls.
The ceiling of the nave features a large fresco painted by Christoph Thomas Scheffler, portraying scenes from the life of St Paulinus and depictions of the martyrdom of the Theban Legion.
Organ-builder Romanus Benedict Nollet worked on the organ between 1753 and 1756. Klais Orgelbau, an organ building and restoration company, restored and electrified the pipe organ before 1934, and renewed it in 1991.
The church's four bells were cast by the brothers Charles and Joseph Perrin between 1821 and 1822. As few European bells from the 19th century survived two world wars, the bells are considered historically important.

Puffins are a species of auk in the bird genus Fratercula They are 32 cm (12.5 in) in length, with a 53 cm (21 in) wingspan, weighing about 380g These are pelagic seabirds that feed primarily by diving in the water. They breed in large colonies on coastal cliffs or offshore islands, nesting in crevices among rocks or in burrows in the soil. The puffin is predominantly black and white plumage, a stocky build, and large beaks, brighlty coloured in the breeding season and are shed after the breeding season, leaving a smaller and duller beak. Their short wings are adapted for swimming with a flying technique under water. In the air, they beat their wings rapidly in swift flight, often flying low over the ocean's surface. Puffins breed in colonies on coasts and islands; these are Farne Island Puffins of the coast of Northumberland UK. The Atlantic Puffin breed in burrows on Farne they evict rabbits from burrows which they line with grass, leaves and feathers but is occasionally unlined. The eggs of the Atlantic Puffin are creamy white but can be occasionally tinged lilac. Puffins form long-term pair bonds or relationships. The female lays a single egg, and both parents incubate the egg and feed the chick. The incubating parent holds the egg against its brood patch with its wings. The chicks fledge at night. After fledging, the chicks spend the first few years of their lives at sea, returning to breed about five years later.
The huge length of a SD90 is well evident here -as is the isolated cab. I have a HO model of one of these beasts and it is truly enormous.
They are normally a rare sight on BNSF's Crawford Hill though!
