Recent Natural light shoot wth Lena. I haven't done a full natural light shoot in a long time and was a little worried because the it was a bright day. However I managed to find some covered shade until the clouds rolled in.
This shot was taken on the shaded side of a building. I asked her to stand just inside the shade so that the reflected light from the ground could light her face.
Lena is a truly amazing young actress/director/producer/singer/model. She's great fun and I appreciate the time and patience she took to get this shoot done. This was done at the Distillery District in Toronto.

Yesterday we went for a walk. This time Lena was our partner. She's a two yrs old Kyrgyz Greyhound female. The cloudy sunset was just right background for her aristocratic appearance.

Image taken 7/27/2000: The Lena River, some 2,800 miles (4,400 km) long, is one of the largest rivers in the world. The Lena Delta Reserve is the most extensive protected wilderness area in Russia. It is an important refuge and breeding grounds for many species of Siberian wildlife.
The Lena Delta can be found on Landsat 7 WRS Path 131 Row 8/9, center: 72.21, 126.15.

A few days ago, I posted Lena's Carolers, She was really pleased with the results, but then she realized that she had forgotten the lady's bonnet and corsage. Would I take another photo?
Okay then.
This time the room was less cluttered, so I didn't need to use my 7D with its wide angle lens. This time, I employed my 6D, and the result was cleaner.
I tried to just append the changed part of the lady to the original photo, but I didn't like how it went.
So I did the whole thing over from scratch. While I was at it, I added some space at the sides, and I like the result better.

Lena is from the north of Russia. She lived in Moscow, working as a lawyer, for several years and then moved to London.
This wonderful woman is fellow Vanity Club sister Lena Gibbson. We spent many wonderful hours conversing during the three days we were there. She is a genuine living doll.
My friend Lena in August light. I think this Riga bridge is becoming one of my favourite locations to shoot people portraits. Beautiful transparent light could be found there.
