this image is dedicated to the late Mr Andy Warhol, whose work is greatly overestimated - in my humble opinion.
especially when compared to some of the artwork seen on the flickr estate.

Our enterprising, photography-friendly, optometrist does not only settle for pink! Here is a capture of his lemon-yellow delivery motor-cycle! :-)
Light and airy lemon souffle cake baked till golden on top and dusted with confectioners' sugar; at the bottom of the cake lies a warm custard-like creamy lemon pudding. The combination of soft, crisp, sweet, tart, fluffy and creamy is just perfect.

I was taking a break from Portal props but I saw the fake lemons in the craft store seasonal section yesterday and couldn't resist.

COMBUSTIBLE LEMONS
MODEL: 0419
Tops from some old airsoft bb loaders, random springs to make the spoons fly off when you pull the pins, some paper plus modge podge labels, and a hacked greeting card so when the spoon comes off Cave does his rant and then a big BOOOM.
Every year I elect the champ lemon from my trees. This lemon weights 525g (1 lb 3oz)
and it looks bigger in person than in picture
So sorry I was not clear about what this insect is. It is in fact a flower mantis
Flower Mantises are species of praying mantis that mimic flowers.[1] Their coloration is an example of aggressive mimicry, a form of camouflage in which a predator's colours and patterns lure prey.[2] Most species of flower mantis are in the family Hymenopodidae. Their behaviour varies, but typically involves climbing a plant until they reach a suitable flower, and then staying still until a prey insect comes within range.
At this time of year in my garden the most extraordinary little dancers appear.
They festoon the plants. Seem to particularly love the lemon tree.
They curl up their abdomen to look like a flower and do the most extraordinary camouflage.
They are always a wonder and a miracle when I see them.
Not really intended as the next in the colour series just a test shot with a new camera as my old IXUS kicked the bucket this afternoon. - found a new Lumix TZ60 (ZS40) for less than half price and needed something to shoot before the sun set so wandered out to the yard to look for something with a bit of texture and colour.
Not bad - and the new camera (tz60) even shoots raw so a even though it's about the same release date as the IXUS ( about 2 years) it's quite a step up
