I have often been asked to join a prasad, i.e. a communal meal prepared in a temple. This was one of the nicest, in an extraordinary atmosphere next to the Sun Temple with very friendly people.

It's been a while since my last darkroom session... but I finally got around to do one again :-)

So this is a wet print from a Tri-X photo on Ilford MG IV RC Pearl.

Used Apple's Aperture to remove some specks caused by dust on my scanner.

Every morning many bycicle-rikshas leave the chicken-market of Hogg Market loaded with bundled chicken, all with their heads hanging down.

No editing. Leica Summicron 50mm at F/2. ISO200, 1/400s, Aperture priority.

Very nice natural looking color. For a wide open shot the details look sharp and crisp enough. Another nice histogram in Photoshop. The light algorithm of Fuji is a delight!

Klopper en Stolk has an ugly font in their suncover, but their bread is amazaballs! Check it out when you're in Amsterdam at the Amstelveense weg.

I can recommend the little cakes they have (on the left in the counter) !

English Bazar, the capital of Malda district, is mostly called Malda too. I have not heard anybody there using the name English Bazar.

Underexposed by the X-E1, but very salvageable with ACR 8.1.

The histogram was still OK, so I just pulled it to the right to expose it more.

These 1930's tiles adorn a lot of porches in Amsterdam (Zuid).

There must have been about one hundred people or more at the prasad. This is just the end of the line.

Picked up a 50mm Summicron v3 from a local Craigslist seller, put it through the test of shooting into the sun while going for a hike at Gov. Nelson State Park. I think it handled that pretty well. Overall, very impressive lens, even though the v3 is generally considered to be one of the weaker of the 'crons.
