Legend has it that the giant Fionn Mac Cumhaill or Finn McCool built a causeway to Scotland but Scotland had its own giant, Benandonner.
Fionn challenged Benandonner to a fight but when Fionn saw the size of the Scottish giant coming across the causeway he realised that he would not win the fight. Thinking quick Fionn asked his wife to dress him up as a baby. When Benandonner came and saw the size of the baby he took fright thinking that if the baby was that big, he didn't want to meet the father.
Benandonner went back across the causeway smashing it, leaving whats left of the causeway on the north coast of Northern Ireland and on the Isle of Staffa in Scotland.

And finally it happened, Ferry Corsten, a trance music legend, visited Croatia for the first time! Armin was amazing but Ferry was even better, it was over 3 hours long dance floor annihilation with one amazing track after another, including few of his legends. Thanks Ferry and come again!
This summer at Papaya club it is really who is who in trance music, as its biggest stars are coming one by one. Next is Paul van Dyk, then Tiesto, Above and Beyond....

Ralph Bakshi dropped by the Bill Plympton booth, and posed for pictures with Bill. This touched off a photographic frenzy that I haven't seen since Mike Judge AND Don Hertzfeldt visited a few years back.
If you're not familiar with Bakshi's animation, please check it out. He did an animated version of "The Lord of the Rings" years before Peter Jackson gave it a go (though admittedly his version only covered the first 1/2 of the three books, which made my mother curse Hollywood and all it stood for...)
You might be more familiar with his animation in "Cool World", or "Fritz the Cat" (the first animated feature to receive an X rating), or his controversial episodes of "Mighty Mouse". Anyway you slice it, he's an original and a visionary.
And he appeared in his booth on Friday and Saturday, for just one hour a day. Now THAT'S how you build up hype at Comic-Con. We tend to go the opposite route, by keeping Bill in the booth for as much time as possible - the hype is less, but I think we sell more DVDs that way.

I completely missed the 12" line of Marvel Legends figures being released. I only saw the black suit Spiderman in Target last time I was there, and it was an instant "love it"! I thought the price was a bit steep, so I didn't buy him. But, I then looked up the Marvel Legends line and found the other 12" figures. I've never seen the 12" figures in any of my local Walmarts or TRU. Even Target only had their exclusive black suit Spiderman, but none of the others...
I was able to find this Spiderman online for about $20 less than the retail price. I also have the black suit Spiderman ordered :D
I've long been a Spiderman fan, so I'm pretty psyched XD
