My new Cannondale CF rig, I am still waiting for the DT Aerolite spokes to lace the white rim to my custom made orange Tune rear hub and the cranks.
Right now only chain pedals and crank are missing and its 7,7 kg (17lb).

What: Rally and March against the Criminalization of Dissent on Campus
When: Tuesday June 3rd at 12 pm
Where: Simcoe Hall, University of Toronto, 27 King’s College Circle marching down University Ave. to Old City Hall Courts (60 Queen St. W.)
Join us as we rally outside the headquarters of the University of Toronto’s Governing Council on Tuesday June 3rd, to protest UofT’s campaign of intimidation against those mobilizing against fee hikes. We will gather at 12 noon at Simcoe Hall and march to Old City Hall where we will assemble outside the courthouse appearance of fourteen people charged and arrested for their alleged involvement in a protest on March 20. We will rally to let the University and Attorney General know that we will not tolerate the repression of dissent on campus.
On March 20, over forty students and allies organized a sit-in at the University of Toronto administration’s offices in Simcoe Hall to protest increasing student fees. The peaceful sit-in ended after police exercised aggression against the demonstrators on the orders of senior administrators. Undeterred, students continued to organize against fee hikes with rallies on March 25 and April 10, and an open forum on the accessibility of education on April 7.
Me, not the cats. Although, I admit, it does fascinate me to watch my felines to see which paw is dominant. . .
Why title this lefty? Well, I think being a lefty is a distinct advantage when it comes to pet photography. Why? My nondominant hand merely holds the camera and pushes a button. Sure, it has to be steady, but I like my shutter speeds fast so it doesn't require that much steadiness although it does have to cooperate with my desired composition. But, the left hand, my much more dextrous hand, is able to swing cat toys to get proper glances, toss dog treats at just the right spot and time, or even hold a new reflector for the first time to get the light coming from the window behind the felines to strike their faces. Actually, that last one has proven to be much more challenging than I expected, lol. Well, it was my first time trying. . .

I was taking photos of a lens I'm selling and took this baby out for a shot. Crappy shot, but I'll have to do it again another time.
Exakta Varex IIa, made in East Germany somewhere around 1960. Mine has a Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm f/2.8 lens. I also have a really inexpensive but decent Carenar 135/2.8 with Exakta mount that renders sweet bokeh. It's operated left-handed, with the shutter button on the stalk attached to the lens.
With a waist-level viewfinder (I always squint right into it) and pleasant shutter curtain whir it's fun to shoot. And if you don't set the counter right, the end of each roll can give you multiple exposures that can be pretty wild.

My favourite barred owl, Lefty. A very rainy and dull afternoon, and the light was barely there. March 10th, this was the last time I saw him this year. Hopefully he will return come colder weather.
