Some extra courage and idiocy prompted me to try out taking pictures WHILE i ride to work! .... again...
got some better results this time but still....
its not very easy to shoot lefthanded... blah!
Never having seen one of these in action before, I investigated via teh tinterwebs, and found this:
The sarod is an instrument which is derived from the rabab. It is not an ancient instrument, probably no more than 150 to 200 years. It has a metal fingerboard with no frets. The bridge rests on a taut membrane which covers the resonator. The sarod has numerous strings, some of which are drone, some are played, and some are sympathetic. The approach to tuning is somewhat similar to other stringed instruments. It is played with a pick made of coconut shell.
So it's not a great big ray gun after all.

Not out, as it turned out, thanks to some sloppy field work, resulting in a fairly routine catch being dropped. Some nice spin bowling, but the bowlers were being let down by the fielders, a bit.
A set of left handed scissors owned by my dad. Seems like he's had these forever. What makes them different? The top handle is molded to fit the left hand and the left blade is on top. Using right handed scissors as a kid in the classroom can be very difficult.

I decided to repeat a challenge from a month or so ago and draw a left-handed (non dominant hand) tangle. I could see where doing this occasionally would be both a good hand excercise and a good concentration exercise. July 2011

Bought on clearance at Target. One of those toys that are going to get old really quickly, but for now they're having a blast sending pictures back and forth. I was surprised to see Mr. Cheeks drawing southpaw, but he switched back and then back again with no real obvious preference tonight.
Every great artist has a few art pieces in their life known as their master pieces. I am not yet a great artist, but I have eight "master pieces" already! This is my first one, all produced in collaboration with my husband James. ;)
Honeymoon pics... these are older, but I've wanted to get them on Flickr for a while. These are pretty much all that is left after we "lost" our camera at the end of our trip...
I joined WeightWatchers on Tuesday because I'm sick of feeling like an enormous lump. The deciding factor was seeing some shoes I love and realising I wont be able to squeeze my fat feet into them!!!
This is me filling in my points tracker for the day. As you can see I had Pizza Hut today but instead of pizza I had a Chicken Salad and mineral water (as well as a dessert). I'm still under my points for the day!!!
This are the thoughts of "some" of our fellow italian citizen during the 2006 political campaign.
