Yet another tool that was not designed for left handers. I tried to hold the scoop cup in my left hand but inevitably had to switch my grip to my right so I could pour the product from that teeny tiny pour spout into a teeny tiny thermos mouth.
Having to adapt (constantly) isn't always such an asspain but it does occasionally get my goat.
Norman Burt Sherry (b: July 16, 1931 in New York City) is a former catcher, manager, and coach in MLB. He is best known as the man who, while still an active player as the second-string catcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, helped the great lefthanded pitcher Sandy Koufax harness his talent and transform himself from a wild "thrower" into one of the most dominant hurlers of all time.
Sherry made the team as second-string backstop (behind John Roseboro) from 1960 through 1962. He batted .283 with 8 home runs in a part-time role in 1960, but his statistics suffered as he sat on the bench as his average plummeted to .256 (1961), and then to .182 (1962).
The Dodgers sold his contract to the lowly New York Mets on October 11, 1962, to afford Sherry more playing time, but he batted only .136 in a career-high 63 games played (and 147 at-bats) in New York in 1963, and his major league playing career ended.
His brothers, George and Larry Sherry, were pitchers in professional baseball. Larry had a successful MLB career as a relief pitcher and was the MVP of the 1959 World Series; he was Norm's teammate from 1959 through 1962.
Career statistics:
Batting average - .215
Home runs - 18
RBI - 69

Ok... for my last drawing of the month (and since i also really slacked off the last half of the month too.. sorry!) i wanted to do something extra special. Something i've only ever done once before... a simultanious, left and right handed drawing! I did 2 paintings (of the same still-life) back in 2005 the same way, which you can see here!
I don't think i'm truly ambidextrous, I'm definitely primarily left handed. But I do like to play at it.. i started practicing writing with my right hand when i was around 13 after i broke my left elbow, getting thrown off my horse. And if you've known me long enough.. you know that i can even write (reeeaally poorly) with my left foot! lol So doing things with my opposite hand/feet is not a new thing for me. But doing a full drawing at the same time is. And it's funny.. but i think my right hand is a better artist. Or just looser, maybe.. And it definitely forces my brain to work in a different way, which is probably good for me. lol
Anyway, i'm DONE drawing now for at least a while. And i'm really looking forward to messing around with my recording equipment and doing more music this next month instead. :)

ie, I ordered needlebinding leaflets from Maria Lind Heel, also including ones she has co-written with Ann Ravn, and one by her friend Jannie Hasselby. Most are in Swedish, but some are in Danish since they have not been translated into Swedish (yet). If you want own copies, contact Maria via her webby here:

Daisy engaging in her favorite bedtime activity - iFishPond. I didn't really expect her to like it, but this game has become a nightly ritual. This means that my iPad gets a daily cleaning to remove the cat spit and snot. She has so much fun with this that I don't really mind, and she makes me laugh, which is a very good thing right now.

Most of these old police boxes have disappeared from our streets - but this one in Newport is a listed building and therefore protected.
Someone painted the scarf on it back in the 1980s when Tom Baker was playing Dr Who in the BBC series, and habitually wore a long multi-coloured scarf.
UPDATE: November 2011. I drove past here yesterday and I saw that the box has been repaired and restored. It has been re-painted, but unfortunately without the scarf.
We saw this Smart Car in Halloween colors in the car park of Marks & Spencer's in Culverhouse Cross. I love the fangs!

Last Tuesday afternoon I got my second tattoo. Hello kitty at my right lower arm.
it's kind of visual in the sense that people notice it.
Snapped the picture with the camera in my left hand - that was a first.
