Ed Mitchell's "javelin" toss. His form actually looks pretty good...considering he's wearing a pressure suit!
Halfstock percussion rifle made by Theodore Clark Spangler, in either Neponset or Annawan, Illinois. It is .34 caliber, with back action lock, and made for a left-handed shooter. Left handed firearms were very rare during the 19th Century. If one was born left-handed, it was considered a birth defect. Most were "converted" to be right-handed at home or in school.
Theodore Clark Spangler was born in Center Township (now Wyanet Township), Bureau County, Illinois, July 11, 1850. He was one of twin sons (Theodore & Theory), born to Jacob Young Spangler and his wife, Jane Clark, who came to Bureau County from Ohio, in 1847. The family moved to Manlius Township, Bureau County, in 1852.
Theodore Spangler is listed as "Gunsmith & Town Marshall" in Neponset, Bureau County, in "Taxpayers & Voters of Bureau County, 1877". He is listed in the 1880 census as a gunsmith in Annawan Village, Henry County, Illinois, which is just across the county line from Bureau County. Theodore Spangler married Janetta Peebles, in Annawan, Illinois, December 11, 1871. By 1885 he was a gunsmith in Tabor, Iowa. He died in Nebraska in 1903.

His T206 card shows him wearing a left handers glove on his right hand ... I am in search of the elusive corrected glove variation!
"Sleepy Bill Burns, the man who helped fix the 1919 World Series, could pitch with either arm, but did so only for exhibitions. He pitched lefthanded in games, then would work out righthanded between starts. He said that kept him in better shape than most pitchers."
Seems the glove was not an artist error but a nod to the fact that Burns pitched righthanded in exhibitions and between starts. So could be an ambidextrous glove as Michael said, or intentionally "wrong" glove to emphasize this quirk of Burns.
Bill Burns wasn't the most professional guy. Called "Sleepy Bill" because he couldn't stay awake on the bench. And everyone knows he was a crook in the Black Sox thing. He might have been out there playing with the wrong glove. They just added another thumb to the T3 version - Link to T3 card - www.tradingcarddb.com/Images/Cards/Multi-Sport/61748/6174...

William Thomas "Bill" Burns (b: January 27, 1880 – d: June 6, 1953), nicknamed "Sleepy Bill," was an American baseball player who played as a pitcher in MLB for five different teams from 1908 to 1912. Burns earned his nickname for his noticeable lack of intensity on the mound.
Bill Burns is best known for his involvement in the alleged fixing of the 1919 Chicago White Sox World Series, dubbed the Black Sox Scandal.
In his five-year career, Burns played for the Washington Senators, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, and Detroit Tigers. In his rookie season, 1908, Burns had a 1.69 ERA (sixth best in the American League). However, he had a career record of 30-52 as a pitcher and never won more than eight games in a season.

Tony Gwynn was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday. He was with one team - the Padres - for 20 years. He was an 8-time batting champ and is still an all-around good guy, as well as the head coach of his alma mater, San Diego State University. This photo was taken at the San Diego County Administration building.

Err... not sure if this was from life or from photos I took of the same pose.

This is my '93 Alvarez Commemorative guitar.
I bought brand new in 1993, in a Mexico City store. It is converted for left-handed playing.
This was my first serious guitar; it is still my favourite to this day.
Here you can see some of the conversion work done to the bridge.
The pins are new. I got them from elderly.com. The original ones were completely shot.
The end of a long day that began with what we hope is a final surgery on my husband's eye. This was a rather minor one to remove the silicone oil that has been holding the retina in place for the past 6 months. The doctor said the retina looked fantastic, so considering it ripped twice, we are very happy with that news.
The shirt, by the way, is one he had me make for him at my crystalwriter store at Zazzle. It has the same statement as the bumper sticker on the back, and this statement for a left-handed, right-winged patriot on the front.
