Hope masako doesn't un-friend me for my poor success.. hehehe with the seeds she sent me.. :-) Still learning and still hopeful more will grow.. :-)
I decided to venture into lining my shirts by machine. Normally I do this by hand. It looks like I can still get MM close to the edge and still work my way up the pits and back down.
It's only for a moment you are mine to hold
The plans that heaven has for you
Will all too soon unfold
So many different prayers I'll pray
For all that you might do
But most of all I'll want to know
You're walking in the truth
And If I never told you
I want you to know
As I watch you grow
Chorus:
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings
May passion be the wind
That leads you through your days
And may conviction keep you strong
Guide you on your way
May there be many moments
That make your life so sweet
Oh, but more than memories
Chorus:
It's not living if you don't reach for the sky
I'll have tears as you take off
But I'll cheer as you fly
monroe and everett feeding the new bucket of cascadia organic layer feed (local! no soy!) to our lovely birds in the afternoon sun. my fourth shot. i wrote about this new film here.
The sound on my Facebook Live videos has been less than stellar. So, I ordered a lapel microphone with a twenty-foot cable, to use in both Zoom meetings and the videos. I invested a few hours, yesterday, learning how to use it. I think it will prove to be time well spent.
Infographic I designed for "marketplace.org"

my friends at wikipedia tell me that a key is "a device which is used to open a lock. a typical key consists of two parts: the blade, which slides into the keyway of the lock and distinguishes between different keys, and the bow, which is left protruding so that torque can be applied by the user." the article goes on to discuss different types of key in detail.
*however* - from what i can tell, at no point does the article tell you that in order to gain entry to your house, you need to remember to take your keys with you, rather than leaving them on top of your washing machine. it is sloppy amateur journalism like this that results in not-too-bright thirty-somethings being left stranded outside their houses in the pouring rain, waiting for their significant others to come and rescue them.

at lunchtime in the company gardens, you can always catch a few people having naps on the grass..or the occasional romantic picnic rendezvous. It was warm this Friday, but the grass was still rather spongy and muddy from the recent rains, and my tripod kept sinking...as did my feet.
One of our favourite walks is along the coast through the marshes at Keyhaven, which takes you past salt lagoons that are a haven for wildlife. On this occasion we rode our bikes with Bramble running along beside us carrying his ball
I have spent some time this summer trying to get to grips with my small canon, which is much easier to take along on walks, and this is one of the results.
my scanner needs to be tossed, but this is my best shot so far with the new 'first flush' pz 100 film. i wrote about this new film here.

Not a good morning!
Tanked up with tablets to mask arthritis flare - not too successful.
Jammed printer twice trying to print on silk then it went through and colours were disappointing ...
Decided to sort large box of fabric bits ....
..... LOL .... at the bottom was my first ever machine stitched fabric collage (bottom left), done years ago when machine was new, and hidden away as a disaster!
Well now I'm into trying again and this is the base of a learning curve - first stage - what not to do.
I think the editing colours make it look a bit better. LOL again!
I have my second attempt, after a long gap, waiting to be completed, (posted Feb 11th) - hope it's better than this when I get round to it!
My cell phone went on the fritz, so I dropped into my local AT&T store today, to check out what they have. Turns out that I'm about a month past the warranty on the old phone, but a few months short of being eligilbe for a new one at a discount. Most phones, nowadays, are $250 and up!
So, I bought a no-frills, inexpensive Nokia. It doesn't have a PDA or play mp3s. Who cares . . .
But, I'm used to the Sony-Erikson menu! This is like learning a new language!
I've spent a few hours with the "simple" phone that I bought. I think I'm learning to speak Nokia.
First time i've taken my strobist equpipment out the house. #learningcurve . Like the really close fence just out of shot to the left ment i couldn't move my flashes out far enough.
yongnuo yn460 behind car (by rear left wheel) set to 1/16th illuminating red door and wall.
yongnuo yn560-II Left rear of car set to 1/8th. The yongnuo yn560-II has a much higher gn than my other flashes @58 so in the future i think i'll use that in more in the foreground or dial it down abit ? (like i said i'm learning) as the light to the rear of the car is brighter than that to the front.
Sb-700 set to 1/8th just above where the camera is.
Like i said before this was a massive learning curve for me.
Please comment, Let me know how you'd do things differently ? I'd appreciate your feedback.
Just part of the learning curve... not one image, but two, kinda fused together, something i've never tried before, and I don't think I will do again.....
The New River Gorge is one of America's premier climbing destinations with over 2,500 brilliant routes that offers some of the best sport climbing in the world.
The cliffs at "The New" or NRG are located just below the rim of the gorge and are made up of a very hard Nuttall sandstone. The rock is very featured, and an abundance of crack and face routes, with occasional large roofs. Almost all climbs are one pitch long and range from 30 to 120 feet in height.
The majority of the routes in the New River Gorge area are for advanced climbers in 5.10-5.14+ range of Yosemite Decimal System with about equal number of traditional and sport climbs.

Early days with my first SLR, and not much experience with long exposures.
This was after a long, long day-trip cranking across the Channel, thanks to a 'France for a Quid' (as a foot passenger) offer in the KM. To get home involved taking the last up train from Dover. Not the most fun place to be at night, I managed a couple of experimental night shots while waiting.

Wind-lashed waves on Loch Lurgainn with a distant Stac Pollaidh on the left. This was one of my first photographs made using the Lee "Big Stopper" filter; and the start of another learning curve.
